分享：灯饰店的老板说，以前的osram很好，但现在要fight便宜，所以osram 及 philip 的品质都变差了。经常有客人拿坏的灯泡更他焕。
所以他介绍我GE, Singapore brand, 但价钱就比 osram 及 philip 贵 RM3.
我们为了省麻烦，直接拿了GE牌的灯泡。反正40*RM3=RM120.反正整间家只龟多RM120++而已 |

我家的燈泡也是一直燒。。。平均每個禮拜都有燈泡燒
差不多可以買的牌子都用過了
我家有50多個donwlight
我想我爸買燈泡買到就快PK了。。 |

There are two types of downlight systems.
type 1. with ballast or internal ballast ,
type 2. without ballast or external ballast
Internal ballast is the cheapest solution for downlight, however, it is very easy to burn due to small ballast inside the bulb. and high cost to run due to cost of bulb is high. Screw in type.
External ballast last very long but expensive to start with, however, low cost to maintenance. light bulb is cheap
type 1: Casing RM11-20+bulb 18W RM12-18
type 2: Casing RM11-20 + bulb 18W RM6-12, +ballast RM6-12
Type 2: Preferred
One good set type 2: low lost ballast 5.5W low loss type RM12 +GE hungary bulb RM12 +casing RM16 =RM40
choose of ballast: Big size and low loss. low loss means don't need to pay so much electricity bill. loss from 6.5-5.5W
Choose of light bulb: GE hungary is the best with thick glasstube, one peace RM12!! cheap one is RM3-4 (cost)
Electricity calculation: Ballast + bulb =5.5W+18W=23.5W/H
mean, in one hour you will use up 23.5W. One day, let say open 8 hours=188WH,
one month will be 188WH*31=5828WH or 5.8KWH
bill 1KWH is 0.28 sen, =RM1.60
One double storey house will have typically 40-50 lights, open 50%...one month bill for lightning is ~RM40.00 per month

Type one is also call PLC-e , screw in type..very easy to install.
Choose of light bulb for long lasting: GE hungary type...expensive but worth it.
How to Promote long lifetime of light bulb....don't switch on and off frequently. Switch on and off once per day.
cost is exact 18W per bulb...about 25% saving of the type 2. electricity bill will be RM30.00 per month.
Disadvantage is you will need to change the bulb...quite often.... 3-5 bulbs per month is normal after 3-6 months
this will need to translate into cost of light bulbs...3x bulb will cost RM16*3=RM48 ...or RM48 per month....to maintain the same number of lights. so cost will be RM30+cost of light bulb renewal.

trick of type 1 for low lasting..
One good point is that don't install more than 2 light bulbs per point. Only by experience!!
I have 3 set of light for living, dining and kitchen... 6 light/3 light/ 3 light....they die frequently...
after sometimes, I were tired to change the bulb...so let it be 4/2/2....and this configuration maintains till now...
although it is not sweet for your eyes.
trick 2 : must use ceramic socket for PLC-e bulb...it is very hot.... plastic type will be cracked...

Cost to install Downlight
type 1 : (RM22 per set +RM5 installation) x 50 points=RM1350
type 2 : (RM30+RM5 )x 50 points=RM1750
Advice....go for type 2 with good ballast....no need to worry...2 years now....change not more than 10 |

我的是转的米火牛，我朋友做拉电的他说有货牛的比较米那么容易烧。。。
我的是osram 20w，，只保家1/2年， ...

整合大家的意见我觉的买到品质不好的灯泡机会比较高，其次是来电太大问题。。。
因为我有几粒白色的灯泡在厨房和浴室到现在1粒也米烧，同样是osram20w.因为客厅和房间要warm一点的感觉就拿去换黄色的osram20w。。结果就一直烧，所以我很怀疑后来换给我的是比较差品质的。。。osram。
我想如果g.e比较好的话不介意多付3块买好点的，因为要一直爬楼梯换真的很烦 |

You can buy from any lamp or light...store
Give you a guideline...of pricing
1. A light point (electric cable) RM40 per point
2. A downlight kit , Type 1 RM20-RM26, Type 2 RM22-RM30
3. Installation RM5
so total for a downlight cost is RM65-75 per point. |

过后换去philip的，没有那么容易烧。 |

我用Osram PLCE（SCREW TYPE）三年了，沒壞到呀 樓主！注意lamp holder ,
中間有個pin如果不是銅和太矮不夠高，接觸不到燈的下方，燈就很容易燒，如果你的holder
是銀或錫的話，用過一次下，中間的pin 被壓過起不來就很難接觸到燈的下方，至於銅的話也要看看是否太薄不耐熱，也會發生壓太低，還有銀，錫和銅的holder看看裡面有燒給青苔嗎？有機換新的一粒，PLC的燈（有火牛）因為是有兩支或4支pin插進去很緊不容易燒，其實真正來講Osram和Philips想比，Osram比較好比較耐用，會比Philips貴點點，GE也不錯，最好少用中國雜牌的 |

And buy the ceramic made one for the PLCE, because it is very hot with internal ballast. Don't buy the plastic holder.
Plastic type, when it get hot, it will be loosen...then disconnect/connect...even short...that is why it will be darken or oxidized fast...
All pin type is plastic, cooler....that is why...long lasting!!!
so...you know why we promote external ballast type! it works just like your fluorescent tube, long lasting! |
