here it means you're gonna take flight at 10pm.. it's used when you're certain with the future event.

My lausy english due to my lasiness during primary and secondary school.I have never study my english for my entire school life. What a embarrassment i did that time.

As a result, i got 7D of my 1119 (not goverment SPM)

Now, I was studying Pre-U program, 4 more weeks is my final exams

I really afraid if I fail my english, this is because my uni minimun entry requirement is 65% (13 out of 20)

You are welcome. Frankly, I am also a "limited company" because I was chinese educated. However, I suggest that you can read eng newspaper as it is cheap and you can really learn a lot from it. Your grammar will be gradually improved if you can expose yourself more to eng.

grammar mistakes -- grammatical mistakes

ya....I always make such mistake...grammatical mistakes(memorizing...) Chinese is much more convenient and easy ....eng needs to pay attention to tense, root verb, adj, singular, plural and the list continues.....

Actually, there is no need to memorize anything when you learn grammar.

Memorizing is the lowest level of learning.
The highest level of learning is through understanding.

When you memorize,it is called rote memory.
Rote memory will not ensure a success in your life.

Grammar is a noun.
Mistake is also a noun.

What is adjective?
Adjective describes noun.

What constitutes an adjective?
It can be a noun(pronoun,it's possesive adjective~your(adj) present, his(adj) cake),present participle, past participle and also normal adjective.

Grammar(n),Grammatical(adj),grammatically(adv)

Adverb has 3 functions.
-describes a verb.
-describes adverb itself.
-describe adjective.

*You have really got to put a lot of effort into your grammar(n).
*You have made so many grammatical(adj) mistakes(n),that is why you failed the paper 3.
*Although all your sentences are grammatically(adv) correct(adj),your vocabulary is still below the par.

Remember, learning through understanding is very important, rote memory will not ensure a pass in university...in university, everything is about skills...Well,if you have a superb memory, you can score just 40% highest in your exams.Facts constitute only 40% in the university examinations.

Ya...you are right but sometimes we tend to forget....I understand whatis an adjective and the use of an adjective, yet sometimes I will stillmake such a silly mistake. Thus,  we  need to  expose  ourselves more toeng, use eng in our daily life or even immerse ourselves in  eng. Ispeak in cantonese at home and almost all  of my  friends are chineseso I seldom have the chance to speak in eng. Your eng is quite well, Ican know it from your reply. Actually, many Malaysians are poor in eng(including me), so I think you are the odd one out. Last time, you saidthat you are doing an assignment about grammar,so what actually are youstudying?

even if you have a bunch of english speaking friends, you'll most probably speak in manglish, rather than english..well, this is malaysia, what do you expect..

cos we're from different langguage background..
many indian usually say ‘where you went’instead of ‘where did you go’..etc..
chinese?we all know how well we incooperate chinese elements into english..hahha..
(have to be very careful cos one tends to pick up the mistake if exposed too much)

you have your point too....but I think even manglish is better than my eng now because they can at least speak fluently and people can understand them as well. Unlike me that start to stumble when speak in eng. However,I certainly still wish to learn proper eng and try to speak more naturally....

Here's a piece of interesting article to share with you all..

http://www.shoemoney.com/2007/08/09/airports-and-their-bathrooms/

The author sure has great sense of humor //
eg:

"I have never had one of those “OMG” moments where every stall in the rest room is not salvageable"

"Great place to drop some brown carrots and get some work done."

"Horrible place to launch a corn canoe."
"They have these marry-go-round plastic covering that insures you will always have a pee free seat. They also have like 20 crappers in every bathroom so you can always be assured of getting some office space to work out of."

When you speak english, never speak too fast that you are not able to choose words.
Same to writing, you must always give a second thought.

Yes, I agree with what you said. I have no much confidence to speak. And sometime i can not pronounce properly. This let me shy to speak.

haha...but I will rather write than speak in eng.Unfortunately, the fact is when you go out to work, what you need is good eng to communicate with others and we seldom need to write. Thus, you are in better position than me....Actually I also don't know what's wrong with me.I am able to write but I start to stumble when I speak in eng.. So I just wish to speak fluently in simple eng...I dare not dream to speak like a Britisher...
