On behalf of the Board of Directors (“Board”) of AMH, CIMB Investment Bank Berhad (“CIMB”), wishes to announce that MEASAT Broadcast Network Systems Sdn Bhd (“MBNS”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company had on 18 April 2019 entered into the following agreements: (i)     an agreement with MEASAT Communication Systems Sdn Bhd (“MCSSB”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of MEASAT Global Berhad (“MGB”), for the utilisation of transponder capacity  on the MEASAT-3d (“M3d”) satellite for a fee of United States Dollar (“USD”) 360.0 million (approximately Ringgit Malaysia (“RM”) 1,489.1  million) (“Fees”), subject to such discounts as set out in Section 2.3 of this announcement, to be satisfied in cash (“M3d Agreement”); and (ii)    an agreement with MEASAT International (South Asia) Ltd (“MISAL”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of MGB, for the early termination of the agreement entered into between MISAL and MBNS dated 12 April 2018 for the utilisation of transponder capacity on the MEASAT-3b (“M3b”) satellite (“M3b 2018 Agreement”) (“Termination Agreement”). （吉隆坡12日讯）由于国际足联（FIFA）世界杯赛的较低内容成本和营销及分销费用削减，ASTRO公司(ASTRO,6399,主板电讯媒体组)截至2019年7月31日次季净利按年飙涨921.39%至1亿6933万6000令吉，相比前期1657万9000令吉。

该公司上半年净利为3亿4553万2000令吉，相较前期1亿9130万8000令吉，暴增80.62%。

ASTRO公司次季营业额却按年下滑12.71%至12亿3638万2000令吉，前期为14亿1643万9000令吉；上半年累积营业额按年跌9.41%至24亿7078万4000令吉。

ASTRO公司建议派发2仙股息，除权日及享有日分别为9月27日和30日。

该公司通过文告指出，在全球内容、媒体和广告领域的结构更改以及盗版威胁等情况下，市场仍具挑战。

不过，ASTRO公司主席敦查基阿兹米表示，在竞争激烈的媒体格局下，他们继续保持较高的现金生产能力、成本规范和积极进行资本管理。

该公司首席执行员陈宝福表示，在优化节目成本和营运开销下，该公司税后盈利继续取得增长。

他指出，与此同时，他们也正在建立新的收入邻接基石，特别是与明讯(MAXIS,6012,主板电讯媒体组)合作的宽频和内容捆绑式配套，以及与爱奇艺和HBO亚洲的互联网电视（OTT）战略合作伙伴关系。

“我们将在未来几个月内将会建立更多合作伙伴关系。”

苹果TV+进场冲击不大

苹果TV+网络视频服务即将到来，但基于本地观众惯有的观看模式和文化下，分析员预料对ASTRO公司冲击不大，其股价回落后变得极具吸引力。

联昌研究指出，苹果TV+网络视频服务将在11月1日在全球上线，大马包含在内，订阅月费为19令吉90仙。

不过，联昌指出，初期只有9部原创作品，而本地官网亦未表明将与美国版一样提供视频点播（VOD）。

此外，该行认为，非法观看好莱坞节目对于各收入阶段的大马人可说是常态。

根据亚洲媒体伙伴（MPA）数据显示，2018年仅有1.5%的大马人直接订阅Netflix影视平台。

有鉴于此，联昌相信苹果TV+的进场并不会使本地传媒业发生翻天覆地的变化。

股价自今年顶峰回落18%
回酬率料提升至7.3%

另一方面，联昌指出，大部份大马人更倾向于本土内容节目，而ASTRO公司投入制作高品质本土节目，推动其过去几年增长，同时它也进军了串流媒体，重整视频点播服务。

联昌研究指出，ASTRO公司如今股价已从今年顶峰1令吉64仙回落18%，料将使其2019至2020年的回酬率预测提升至7.1至7.3%。

该行认为，对于付费电视相关性下降的担忧被过分夸大，毕竟截至2019年4月ASTRO公司仍拥有77%家庭普及率，是让其他国家的付费电视运营商艳羡不已的数字。

有鉴于此，该行维持对其目标价1令吉75仙和“买进”评级。

多元平台加强赚利

MIDF研究看好ASTRO公司业务前景，因其成本管理计划持续带来正面进展，并通过多元平台加强赚利，成本架构改善将是推动盈利主要动力。

该行保持每股10仙股息预测，因盈利表现持续处于扬升趋势。

该行指出，ASTRO付费电视的平均客户营收（ARPU）达100令吉水平，主要通过其视频点播、互联网电视平台、及卫星电视服务平台等需求增加的支撑。同时它的宽频内容和明讯（MAXIS,6012,主板电讯媒体组）捆绑结合配套也是正面发展，可更有效地将服务产品传达给客户。

ASTRO公司2020财年首半年正常化净利3亿5240万令吉（按年增56.6%），超越MIDF研究及市场预测。该行将2020至2022财政年净利预测，分别上调7.8%、8.5%及5.9%，至6亿7580万、6亿8670万及6亿9600万令吉，以反映较低的成本假设。

艾芬黄氏研究指出，随着ASTRO公司交出比预测好的2020财政年首6个月业绩表现，占该行及市场全年预测的64%及63%，该行将其2020至2022财政年核心净利预测调高11%至13%，主要反映其较低的营运成本，特别是行销及员工相关开销。

虽然取得较好盈利表现，惟ASTRO公司宣布每股2仙中期股息，使它首半年每股股息为4仙，比前期的5仙较低，艾芬黄氏相信该公司要保留更多现金，以应付整体日益挑战的市场。若假设其股息派发率60%，预料2020财政年的每股股息将达8仙。
