Longman的定义：
a time when someone has to make very important decisions which will affect their future

还有就是 in his career

1. 第二句用 I used to walk ...和 I would walk ... 是不是都可以？

遛狗 walk 是重复性动作，所以用 would 或 used to 都可以。

2. 据我所知，英语里，对动物，尤其是自己的宠物，比较倾向于用he/she 来代替it。对吗？
不确定动物的性别时，狗是不是比较常用he，猫是不是比较常用she？

对，宠物通常用 he/she/him/her 来称呼；不确定性别的动物应该是用 it 吧？没听过狗要用 he 而猫要用 she 的用法，这个我不确定，那老鼠又该用什么？ 如果有这样的分别和规定，我觉得相当的“废”...... she 也可用在国家、轮船或交通工具等...... it 也未必不可以用在人，分不出性别的婴儿，可以用 it；有人在敲门时，没看到对方，不是常问“Who is it”吗？

虾米时候：
from the time of delivery to the purchaser
从货品传递给购买者开始

虾米附带条件：
notwithstanding that the property in the goods shall not have passed to the purchaser
(notwithstanding = in spite of something = 不管、尽管)
不管货品有没有交到购买者手里

我的理解是这样，和stan24ley相似。

正确答案。

只是感觉上外国人多数分别用he 和 she 来形容狗和猫。

他们把宠物当成家里成员看待，也不会用it来称呼宠物。
但之前那个，狗用he，猫则用she，越想越没道理。

difference = noun
different = adjective

licence 和 license应该是一样的，一个是英式英语，一个是美式英语
