巴里島很好玩喔~~
我去過2次~很棒的地方
但是從台灣直飛爆貴的~~~
現在台灣的旅遊市場把巴里島炒的太熱門了
機票貴到一個可怕
所以這幾年我都飛中南半島了~ |

Poor load factor stops HK-Miri MAS flights

MIRI: The Hong Kong-Miri direct flight via Kota Kinabalu has been suspended by Malaysia Airlines (MAS) due to poor load factor.
“The reason given is the load factor or not enough passengers.
“As you know, MAS is operated on a commercial basis.
“In other words, whenever it is not commercially viable, it would stop like other private companies,” Urban Development and Tourism Minister Dato Sri Wong Soon Koh said here yesterday.
Pointing out that the airline operated based on ringgit and sen or supply and demand, Wong said when the demand was not there, MAS would ‘withdraw’ the non-profitable routes.
The connectivity issue was brought up by tourism industry key players during a dialogue session with Wong.
The tourism players said although Miri was a resort city, it had not been well-linked to the outside world, particularly through direct link.
The only so-called direct flight from Hong Kong to Miri has been suspended.
Sarawak Tourism Board (STB) chief executive officer Gracie Geikie who also attended the dialogue said STB was initiating a programme to bring inbound and outbound operators to Hong Kong to meet their counterparts there.
She said the programme was done in collaboration with MAS and Tourism Malaysia.
Geikie who was recently in Hong Kong for a marketing and promotional trip said tour operators and hoteliers would also be included in the delegation to Hong Kong.
The visit would be part of the efforts to revive the Hong Kong-Miri route via Kota Kinabalu.
“The operators in Hong Kong have never met or heard from the operators here.
“It has to be a two-way discussion,” said Geikie. She added that most of the agents participat in the recent marketing and promotion trip were from Sibu.
Invitations were extended to operators in the northern region Miri but only one participated, she said.
Meanwhile, Wong said the next trip to Hong Kong was to revive the sector.
“We hope to see greater working relationship between the Hong Kong tour operators and their counterparts in Miri.
“It’s just been suspended and will take time to reinstate,” he said.
Wong called for more active participation from the tourism industry players here to enable MAS to revive the route.
He also urged them to make use of STB and Tourism Malaysia to penetrate bigger markets in Hong Kong and China.

Borneo Life is pleased to let our subscribers know that Kuching International Airport is becoming more of an international destination. Airasia is flying into from the city from Jakarta which we believe is some time in May 2008. Coming soon also will be direct flight from Bali, Indonesia. We are very excited about the prospect of these 2 destinations joining us and the benefits arising. Already we have flights from Macau and we are confident that we have not heard the last. |

Indonesia AirAsia to Spend RM200m on Developing New Routes

JOGJAKARTA: Indonesia AirAsia, a 49 per cent subsidiary of AirAsia Bhd, will pump in RM200 million to develop more new routes to Malaysia from four of its points in Indonesia this year.
Instead of flying solely to Kuala Lumpur, the airline will be expanding its wings to other new destinations in Malaysia namely Kota Kinabalu, Kuching and Penang from its two hubs, Jakarta and Bali, as well as Medan and Jogjakarta.
To date, it has already obtained approval to fly to some of these destinations and expects to commence some of the flights as early as March 30.
AirAsia group chief executive officer Datuk Tony Fernandes said despite the huge investments and high risk involved, the airline is optimistic of making these new services profitable.
He pointed out that the budget airline has always been adventurous in introducing routes that have not been served by other airlines such as its Kuala Lumpur-Bandar Acheh and Kuala Lumpur- Bandung flights.
"I always believe that with the right marketing strategy as well as hard work and good planning, all routes can be profitable.
"Besides, I think operating routes not provided by others would enable us to widen our network and offer our passengers more destinations to go to," he told reporters after the official launch of the Kuala Lumpur-Jogjakarta flight here on Wednesday.
Indonesia AirAsia president-director Captain Dhamardi said looking at its aggressive international route expansion, the airline is optimistic of making profits by this year.
In line with Visit Indonesia Year, the airline aims to see its international fights account for 50 per cent of the flights operated from 30 per cent last year.
Apart from Malaysia, he said the airline also plans to introduce more international routes such as Jakarta-Bangkok and Bali-Perth.
"Looking at our route expansion plan, we expect to see higher yield from our international flights. We are optimistic of becoming profitable this year," he added.
Meanwhile, in addressing soaring fuel prices, Fernandes said the airline may need to review its fares if the need arises.
However, this would only be as a last resort measure after it has exhausted all of its options.
The four times weekly Kuala Lumpur-Jogjakarta flights, which is AirAsia's 13th entry into Indonesia and started on January 13 2008, has already reached more than 75 per cent average load factor. AirAsia will mount daily flights on the Kuala Lumpur-Jogjakarta route by April 15.
Going forward, under Indonesia AirAsia, more routes will be operated via Jogjakarta namely to Jakarta, Bali and Singapore.
