Job Title: Technical Support Engineer
The Technical Support Engineer (based in Singapore) provides maintenance and technical service support to customers to maintain system up time. Additionally, provides operating guidance and troubleshooting to ensure system efficacy and efficiency
Responsibilities:
Scope of coverage includes but not limited to:
• Installation – Provide installation of software and hardware systems before handing over to customers
• Commissioning – Systematically lead setup with contractors, testing, commissioning, and final customer acceptance.
• Troubleshooting - Responds to calls for service support and able to travel on short notice.
• Issue Resolution – Investigates network, operating systems, or hardware for issues and rectify as needed.
• System Usage Training – Maintain technical skills and know-how to fully operate our software systems and train customers to operate them.
• Customer interfacing – Interface with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction. Champion customer issues and needs to eventual resolution.
Requirement:
• Diploma or ITE certification in a technical field (or equivalent) preferred.
• Basic knowledge of networking.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware components.
• Technically skilled with ability to troubleshoot problems, and solve abstract issues
• Basic knowledge to use and configure various Windows Operating System, such as XP, Windows 7.
• Basic knowledge to issue simple linux commands to restart services or perform networking and service checks on linux platforms.
• Minimum 2 years related work experience.
• Ability to work independently
• Able to do flex-timing work at times
• Flexibility, adaptability and travel required. Up to 50% travel island-wide. Travel allowance or claims will be provided
