1. Meeting of unitholders of Starhill REIT convened on 19 April 2007 ("Meeting")
On behalf of Pintar Projek Sdn Bhd ("Pintar Projek"), the manager of Starhill REIT, ECM Libra Avenue Securities Sdn Bhd (formerly known as Avenue Securities Sdn Bhd) wishes to announce that the ordinary resolutions as set out in the Notice to Unitholders of Starhill REIT dated 5 April 2007 has been duly passed by the unitholders at the Meeting held earlier today.
2. Execution of the sale and purchase agreement pursuant to the Proposed Acquisition.
On behalf of Pintar Projek, ECM Libra Avenue Securities Sdn Bhd (formerly known as Avenue Securities Sdn Bhd) wishes to announce that YTL Land Sdn Bhd ("Vendor") and Mayban Trustees Berhad (on behalf of Starhill REIT) ("Trustee") have today entered into a sale and purchase agreement pursuant to the Proposed Acquisition with the salient terms as set out in Section 2.1.4 of the Circular.
On even date, Megahub Development Sdn Bhd, the registered owner of the Land has given its consent-in-principle to the assignment by the Vendor of its rights, title, interests and benefits in and to the Property pursuant to the Proposed Acquisition to the Trustee.
On 11 April 2007, approval from the shareholder of the Vendor, YTL Corporation Berhad has been received.
The Proposed Acquisition is subject to the approval-in-principle of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad for the listing of and quotation for 138,888,889 new units to be issued pursuant to the Proposed Acquisition.
This announcement is dated 19 April 2007. |

Media Prima Bhd posted a net profit of RM11.22 million on the back of revenue of RM112.91 million for the first quarter (1Q) ended March 31, 2007, driven mainly by its television and radio networks, as well as its associate company The New Straits Times Press (Malaysia) Bhd.
The company made a net loss of RM4.75 million on revenue RM99.87 million in 1Q of last year.
Earnings per share for 1Q07 stood at 1.09 sen, while net tangible assets per share was 51 sen.
In a statement on May 18, Media Prima said its 1Q07 revenue growth was due to aggressive marketing effort, contribution from the fully operational TV9 and significantly higher revenue from its radio networks.
It said its television networks comprising TV3, 8TV, ntv7 and TV9 maintained leadership position by collectively capturing a 54% share of television viewership against 48% a year earlier.
On the outlook for the year, Media Prima said the media environment was expected to be challenging due to uncertain global economic conditions and competition within the industry.
“However, Media Prima is optimistic that it will be able to maintain its industry leadership position and future earnings growth through continued investment in quality programming, branding and prudent financial management,” it said. |

最近觉得hapseng 好像是蛮不错的,奇怪的是股价有点动荡 加上公司不断的cancel treasury shares...
到底cancel trasury shares有什么好处?? |

(吉隆坡18日訊)首要媒體(MEDIA,4502,主板貿服股)表示,不排除在未來進軍中文電台領域。
首要媒體首席執行員阿都拉曼指出,該公司目前正在探討擴充業務的可能性,並且不排除以後會進軍中文電台業。
該公司今天舉行股東常年大會,阿都拉曼在會後表示,首要媒體有多項新的業務,大都目標在兩年內可達到無盈虧水平,不過,像第8電視和NTV7都分別在18個月和15個月就取得淨盈利,主要是因為有強勁的團隊和品牌。
他說,首要媒體的淨利在過去3年都有15至20%的成長,因此他希望今年也會有相同的成長。該公司會延續以往的策略,來維持其成長表現,如品牌投資、提升市佔率,以及吸引非傳統廣告商來加入,並藉著節慶如國慶日而增加廣告。
另外,他指出,該公司一直都在尋求東南亞市場的擴展機會,但目前沒有和任何對象在洽談。不過,他不排除會進軍中文電台領域。
他說,其旗下加納子公司將在今年杪上市,以從中釋放投資價值和擴展大馬的業務。去年該子公司只貢獻約100萬美元淨利。
在廣告開銷方面,阿都拉曼表示,媒體領域的首季廣告開銷成長是7%,去年首要媒體的廣告成長達19%,今年或不能達到這個成績,不過至少會超越領域平均的表現。
「去年第三和第四季有世界盃的廣告支撐,因此廣告收入表現良好,如今本地的消費情緒也改善,希望可以反映在廣告開銷上。」
MEDIA PRIMA 不断地在做expansion,应该是不错的公司。。。
不过就背负着满大的 accumulated losses.. |

1.Pt TITAN在去年的市场占有率从8%上升到了22%,以印尼的242mil 的人口, 该公司相信该国的需求会稳健的上升,而且公司也能因此而获。
2.公司在去年落实的新厂在去年已完成了50%, 公司相信其工厂将会在Nov 2007就能完成其建设工作。 其新工厂 将生产propylene 以及butadiene(新产品).

PETALING JAYA: YTL Corp Bhd's Starhill Gallery heads Forbes Traveler's list of Asia's amazing mega malls for its choice of lavish brands and collection of vast amenities.
In a recent feature, the magazine hailed Starhill Gallery as being so successful that it was fielding offers for the concept to be taken abroad to cities like Shanghai and Moscow.
Starhill Gallery Kuala Lumpur led the list of luxurious malls, followed by the Roppongi Hills in Tokyo and The Siam Paragon in Bangkok, said Forbes Traveler.
It said Asian malls like the Starhill Gallery were in contrast to US malls, which had been out of fashion for at least a decade.
“In Asia, malls are the future. Bright shiny and packed with life, the Asian mall is the epitome of a fun, social shipping experience,” it said.
The feature stated that instead of a fast-food court, Starhill Gallery offers a plethora of high-end dining choices.
The mall also gives shoppers access to top clothing and accessories brands such as Kenzo, Porsche design and Louis Vuitton as well as exclusive watch and jewellery brands including Jaeger-LeCoultre and Van Cleef & Arpels.
