从前有听过RM1以下的股票的limit up是起30sen, limit down就是跌30sen。那以Megan的case来说, 她应该是不会limit down了。。。

limit down就是跌到不能再跌的水平！所以还是有limit down的，megan现在limit down 是 0。005， limit up 是0。405（0。105+0。30）

Crackdown on violators of securities laws

THE law will come down hard on those who violate the securities laws, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi warns.

Abdullah, who is also Finance Minister, said the Government will spare no efforts in maintaining investor confidence in the country's stock market.

Concerned with recent accounting scandals in certain companies listed on Bursa Malaysia, he said the regulators will maintain close surveillance to ensure rules are observed.

"When such transgressions are discovered, regulators need to come down hard and swift. The full force of the law must be brought to bear; nothing less.

"We must ensure that we maintain confidence in the market," he said when addressing the Corporate Leaders' Banquet 2007 in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.

Also present at the dinner, organised by Malaysian Institute of Directors (MID), was MID president Tan Sri Dr Lim Kok Wing.

Abdullah said the Government would continuously review and tighten existing regulations to deter corruption, graft and fraud.

He said the war against corruption and the pursuit towards greater integrity are matters of shared interest for everybody.

"Corruption is a clear and present danger to all of us; whether in Government or business.

"I mention integrity as an issue, not only because I feel very strongly about it, but also because it is a topical issue, especially when seen within the recent context of possible fraud in a number of listed Malaysian companies," he said.

The Prime Minister said the recent troubles in Transmile Group Bhd and Megan Media Holdings Bhd are a timely reminder for everybody that integrity and good corporate governance must always be an ongoing effort.

A few public listed companies including Transmile and Megan Media, are currently being investigated by Securities Commission for accounting irregularities and suspected fraud cases.

"On the part of the Government and regulators, there is clearly a need for us to continually review and tighten regulations.

"We need to plug all loopholes and ensure that sufficient and just punishment is legislated as a means of deterrent," he said.

He also reminded company directors that it is their responsibility towards their shareholders, their own conscience, and the nation, to ensure that good corporate governance is properly enforced.

He said transparency and openness remain the best deterrent against corruption and fraud.

"You (company directors) must be prepared to scrutinise and to probe. You must be prepared to ask uncomfortable questions, and to receive uncomfortable answers," he said.

The Prime Minister said the key initiatives under the Ninth Malaysia Plan (9MP, 2006-2010) are all underway, while some have begun to bear fruits.

Later, Abdullah launched a book entitled "Mission 2020: The Final Stretch".

Meanwhile, at the event, CIMB group chief executive officer Datuk Mohd Nazir Razak and Genting chairman and CEO Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay were recognised as Director of the Year by MID.

Megan Media posts RM1.27b loss

DISC maker Megan Media Holdings Bhd said it incurred a net loss of RM1.27 billion in the financial year ended in April 2007, compared with a net profit of RM60.23 million last year.

In its latest unaudited results reported to Bursa Malaysia last Friday, the company said revenue for the year was down 88 per cent to RM122.18 million, from RM1.03 billion in 2006.

In the final quarter alone, the company has made a net loss of RM1.14 billion, compared with a net profit of RM23.47 million in the same period last year.

Revenue fell 93 per cent to RM21.42 million in the final three months, from RM322.68 million last year.

The financially-troubled Megan Media said the fourth-quarter result was approved by its board, but the estimates are subject to changes as its accounts are still under probe.

The Securities Commission last month launched an investigation into its accounts, while a final report from the investigative accountants Ferrier Hodgson MH Sdn Bhd is due to be completed in six to eight weeks.

The investigative accountants has earlier found several made-up transactions in Megan Media's accounts.

Trading in Megan Media's shares was suspended at 10.5 sen for one day, starting from yesterday morning.

The suspension was imposed by Bursa Malaysia to allow for thorough public dissemination and evaluation by investors of the information released, a Bursa Malaysia official said.

Trading in the stock will resume today.

Megan Media director resigns

MEGAN Media Holdings Bhd announced that Datuk Rosli Mat Hassan has resigned as an independent and non-executive director. His departure last Saturday follows the resignation of Megan Media’s co-founder and executive director, George Yeo, who reduced his stake to 1.97 per cent in February from 11.2 per cent before the company’s financial problems surfaced. In a note to Bursa Malaysia yesterday, the company said Rosli had previously served the government for more than four years and held a number of managerial positions in the Malay Chamber of Commerce and Consortium of Malay Contractors. Following the latest resignations, those remaining on board are executive chairman and non-independent director Datuk Dr Mohd Adam Che Harun, executive and non-independent director Maj-Gen (R) Datuk Dr Nordin Yusof and non-executive and independent director Redzuan Abdul Rahman. - Bernama

（吉隆坡訊）媒岸控股（MEGAN，7101）在假賬事件後公佈截至2007年4月30日財政年業績，因為撥備和註銷額高達11億6800萬令吉，衝擊全年轉盈為虧，而蒙受高達11億3764萬8000令吉淨虧損。

該公司的文告指出，該公司截至2006年7月31日止第1季、10月31日止第2季和1月31日止第3季的財務賬目，都出現顯著的“誤植”，經調整後顯著衝擊全年盈利表現。

該公司表示，有關假賬的調查還在進行中，現有的常年稽查也在進行。

配合業績公佈，該公司今日（週一，7月2日）暫停交易1日，明日（3日）復牌，上週五（6月29日）最後交易價掛10.5仙，起0.5仙。

媒岸控股截至2007年4月30日止全年，從前期6023萬4000令吉淨利，逆轉至蒙受高達11億3764萬8000令吉的巨額淨虧損。

全年營業額也顯著下降88.19%至1億2218萬令吉，比較前期為10億零3479萬7000令吉。

該公司全年重虧損主要來自最後1季，截至4月30日止的單季淨虧高達11億3763萬8000令吉，佔全年淨虧損的89.83%；較第3季的5億5209萬5000令吉虧損擴大106%。去年同季為淨利2347萬1000令吉。

該公司第4季的業績已經獲得董事部的批准。

假賬涉11.7億撥備和注銷額

假賬事項使該公司賬目一片“赤字”，全年每股虧損達622.82仙，去年為每股盈利29.5仙；單季每股虧損報560.08仙，前期為每股盈利11.49仙。

每股淨資產值也從前期的2令吉31仙，轉為赤字3令吉92仙。

該公司的現金流量也從前期的5302萬2000令吉，減少至負數343萬8000令吉。

該公司在6月11日公佈新加坡子公司MEMEORY TECH虛報資產和實虧報盈“的假賬事件。

MEMEORY TECH虛報4億5600萬令吉資產、截至今年1月31日的第3季或蒙受5億5209萬虧損，而非報的盈利1055萬令吉，還有5億8000萬固定資產在調查中。

該公司週一表示，2007財政年蒙受虧損，主要是因為假賬事件支付高達11億6800萬令吉的撥備和註銷額，分別為4億8810萬令吉的資產、機械和器材的減值虧損，註銷不再誌入集團賬務的子公司投資額1億3850萬令吉、註銷1億9870萬令吉的機械頭期額、註銷應收賬項1億8990萬令吉，和子公司的企業擔保金撥備額1億1890萬令吉。

該公司也於2007年的資產負債表內，提供一筆3180萬令吉的第三方索償撥備，但沒有列出詳情，無論如何，該公司正審閱現有，和未來可能出現的索償申請。

該公司指出，董事部預估，集團的產業、機械和器材的減值虧損總值，預料處在4億8810萬令吉的合理水平，無論如何，接下來的調查或導致有關數額將被調整。

另一家新加坡子公司MJC無法準時償還債務，牽連該公司須為提供1億1890萬令吉的企業擔保金撥備額。

由於內部和法定稽查的最後報告仍未出爐，接下來或需要為其他負債額提供撥備，媒岸控股截至2007年4月30日止，集團債務和債券達8億9995萬6000令吉。

納進疑賬後
股東基金大減列PN17公司

由於初步調查顯示媒岸控股股東基金因受疑賬影響，而無法達到繳足資本的25%水平，因而成為PN17陷困公司。

假賬事件的“主角”為旗下Memory科技私人有限公司，在6月7日公佈賬目出現4億5600萬令吉的巨大差額。

這導致媒岸控股截至2007年1月31日止的第3季業績，或蒙受高達5億5209萬5000令吉的淨虧損，而非早前公佈的1055萬9000令吉淨利。

納進疑賬後，媒岸控股的股東基金也減少6億4774萬5000令吉，從原有的5億696萬3000令吉，變成赤字1億4078萬2000令吉。這還不包括5億8500萬令吉待進一步調查的固定資產。

在證券監督委員會介入調查後，媒岸控股卻又在6月中爆出無力攤還高達8億9370萬2179令吉（母金）到期貸款。 （星洲日報/財經•2007.07.02）

（吉隆坡2日讯）根据今日公布的未稽查业绩，子公司被指涉及会计欺诈事件的媒岸控股有限公司（MEGAN，7101，主板工业产品组）截至2007年4月30日止第4季净亏损高达11亿4000万令吉。

至于截至4月30日止全年净亏损是12亿6000万令吉，相比于2006财政年的净利6023万令吉。

该公司说第4季业绩已获董事会批准。

媒岸控股重申随着较早前宣布后，该公司继续调查欺诈事件。此外，本年度常年稽查也在进行中。

在6月11日，媒岸控股宣布追溯至2005财政年的会计报表发现虚报，营业应收货款被夸大。涉及欺诈事件的子公司是Memory Tech私人有限公司。
