Liverpool and Mario Balotelli are prepared to look past last season's nightmare and will give it another go.
The Italian striker's agent, Mino Raiola, revealed that Balotelli will don the red Liverpool kit next season, despite his miserable campaign at Anfield, according to Sky Sports.
The report comes days after Balotelli's cryptic message on social media, where he posted an image of himself with chains around his wrist, accompanied by a message thanking Liverpool fans and hinted at a return next season.
His future with the Merseyside club appeared to be in doubt after a season where he only managed 10 starts in the Premier League and looked to be out of favour with manager Brendan Rodgers.
While injuries plagued his season, Rodgers elected to leave Balotelli on the bench even when he was fit.
His lack of playing time can be attributed to the drought he suffered in front of goal. Balotelli only managed to find the back of the net four times in all competitions, including just one goal in the Premier League.
