Citizens Advice Bureaux, January 22, 2010 YTL’s Wessex Water won Best customer service award from Citizens Advice Bureaux. Other companies nominated included like Capital One and T-Mobile. At the fund raising dinner in London, companies and individuals were acknowledged for contributing to the Citizens Advice principle of fair treatment for all. The charity said: “The award went to Wessex Water for its innovative work in providing a range of schemes that prevent customers from being forced into poverty because of their inability to afford their water bills. Bibiyana power plant: Four firms to get call for submitting offers

Four local and international firms are likely to get Power Ministry's call to submit technical and financial offers to vie for the 450MW Bibiyana combined cycle power plant.

The firms are YTL Power International Berhad of Malaysia, joint venture of Summit Industrial and Mercantile Corporation Ltd and GE Energy LCC, joint venture of China National Machinery and Equipment Import and Export Corporation (CMEC), Shenzen Shenwan Power Gas Turbine Engineering Technique Com. Ltd (NSRD) and Asian Entech Power Corp. Ltd (AEPC) and OTOBI Ltd (OTOBI); and (4) MPC Consortium of Meiya Power Company Limited (Hong Kong) and Shasha Denis Limited, Bangladesh.

According to official sources, Power Cell, a technical wing and reform implementation body of the Power Ministry, has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document and sent it to the Power Ministry seeking its approval to issue it in favour of the four firms.

Once the RFP document is approved, the four qualified bidders will be asked to submit their technical and financial proposals through the RFP.

Earlier, the Power Cell selected the firms as pre-qualified (PQ) bidders.

Among the four bidders, the finally selected private sponsor that could place the best technical and lowest financial offer will win the bid and install the Bibiyana Power Plant on build-own-operate (BOO) basis.

The government will purchase electricity from the project for about 22 years.

The Bibiyana Plant will be installed at a site adjacent to Bibiyana gas field in Sylhet region.

As per the project design, the government will supply gas and provide land for the independent power producer (IPP) project while private investor will install the plant on its own cost.

Earlier, the Power Cell completed the PQ evaluation process in which three other firms that also participated in PQ bidding were dropped from the bidders list as they failed to qualify for the project.

These disqualified firms are Independent Power Corporation PLC of England, Ranhill Berhad of Malaysia and Globeleq Advisors Limited of England.

Two World Bank consultants helped the Power Cell carry out the PQ evaluation. The Power Cell received fresh PQ proposals on April 23, 2009 for the project.

Earlier, the Power Cell had invited a tender for the same power project in 2007. But that tender was finally cancelled by the immediate past caretaker government on the plea of receiving a single bid.

報紙一路來對YTLPOWER都沒什麼好話的啦。。。
都沒什麼油水。。
沒有J/V才好﹐盈利100%自己收﹐未來又不會有因J/V洐生問題。。

（吉隆坡25日訊）楊忠禮機構（YTL，4677，主要板建築）旗下業務的營業額躍進，母公司在09財年首兩季稅前盈利增加19%至10億1790萬令吉，營業額增加1倍至78億5740萬令吉。
楊忠禮集團董事經理丹斯里楊肅斌在文告中指出，公司購下的新加坡PowerSeraya發電廠，是帶動公司營業額成長的主要因素，這家發電廠供應新國島上四分之一的電力。

楊忠禮能源（YTLPOWR，6742，主要板基建）首兩季稅前盈利按年25%至6億6350萬令吉。

楊忠禮洋灰（YTLCMT，8738，主要板工業）首兩季稅前盈利按年增長17%至2億130萬令吉。

楊忠禮能源及楊忠禮洋灰宣佈第二期單層初期派息每股7.5%，派息過戶日為3月31日。

楊忠禮置地（YTLLAND，2577，主要板房產）首兩季營業額按年增長47%至1億8140萬令吉；楊忠禮E-Solutions首兩季稅前盈利按年增加99%至830萬令吉。
