尿布疹元凶是紙尿片

【易生細菌】
「尿布疹」的元凶不是尿布，而是盛行半世紀的紙尿片。
香港中文大學兒科學系教授韓錦倫解釋，尿布疹是嬰幼兒常見的皮膚病，主要與紙尿片不夠透氣有關。當BB排泄後，潮濕下容易滋生細菌，尿液分解時產生的阿摩利亞、糞便中的酵素，都會刺激BB皮膚，如果沒有適當護理，可導致黴菌（如念珠菌）感染，「初時皮膚敏感會先紅色一笪笪，如果受真菌感染，就會發炎起紅疹」，而且紙尿片中，有很多化學成份可能會刺激BB皮膚。
韓錦倫指出，家長一定要保持BB屁股乾爽，「唔好將尿片包到實，如果可以就唔好用尿片」；棉質尿布則「唔會焗住」，透氣功能較好，質地較舒服，可減少出現尿布疹。
至於用洗衣機清洗尿布，他認為沒有問題，因嬰兒主要飲奶，糞便沒有惡菌，放入洗衣機、加入天然洗衣粉，已能有效殺菌，細菌不會殘留機內。
