continuous与discontinuous

请问如f(x) = 3-x, x <=1
                = 3x-x^2, x > 1
在x=1时，属于continuous还是discontinous ?

f(1) = 3 - 1 = 2

lim f(x) =
x→1-
lim (3 - x) = 2
x→1-


lim f(x) =
x→1+
lim ( 3x - x&sup2; ) = 2
x→1+


lim f(x) =
x→1-
lim f(x) = 2
x→1+

∴ lim f(x) = 2
    x→1


∵ lim f(x) = f(1)
    x→1
∴ f(x) 在 x = 1 处是连续的。

不行！还必须等于该点的函数值。

典型例子

f(x) = 1     , x  =/= 0
      = 0     , x=0

如果要看有没有 continuous at x=0 ,这里 左右两边的 limit 相等,但是并没有 continuous
不过如果是 check differentiable or not, 我们就 check 左右两边的 limit 罢了

not continuous → not differentiable

continuous 未必 differentiable

在 x = 1 is continuous but not differentiable.

不好意思，我应该说清楚一些，是 check

lim [ (f(x+h)-f(x)]/h 的左右2边的limit 当 h->0 来决定 f'(x) exist or not
