ATTEMPTED CHILD KIDNAP CASE AT VIVOCITY, POLICE TRACKING SUSPECT AFTER CCTV REVIEW


Hi everyone, please take note. My friend’s niece was nearly taken away last weekend at Vivocity Giant. Lucky his mother saw and shout at a Chinese lady and that lady walk away after saying sorry!

They made a police report and today police officer called them and after viewing the CCTV from Giant supermarket, they believe the Chinese lady did it purposely.


They are tracking that woman now as we speak. When his mum first told him, he thought she was overreacting, perhaps that lady was holding the wrong kid. But police said that from the CCTV, she saw that the Chinese lady was following his niece for quite sometime and when she saw the maid looking at something, she hold his niece hand straight away and attempt to kidnap the little girl.

His niece is 5 years old. Stay vigilant people!

The Singapore Police Force responded to queries by members of the public on whether this incident took place.

SPF replied on their Facebook page:

"The Police confirm a report has been lodged and investigations are underway to ascertain the circumstances of the incident.

The Police would also like to advise the public against spreading unsubstantiated information which may generate unnecessary public alarm, causing fear and panic in the community. "

怡丰城5岁女童差点遭绑架 警方相信陌生女子蓄意拐人

怡丰城疑似差点发生绑架案。一名5岁女童上周末在怡丰城（VivoCity）超市巨人（Giant），差点被一名陌生华族女子带走，所幸家属即时发现。女童家属随后报案，并指警方相信陌生女子有意干案。警方向本台证实，已接获报案。

有网民通过网站《All Singapore Stuff》表示，友人的侄女上周末在怡丰城差点被人拐走，所幸友人的母亲即时发现，并向陌生女子大声呼叫。该名女子随后道歉离开。

女童家属随后向警方报案。该名友人原以为母亲有可能反应过度，陌生女子可能是认错人，误将女童带走。不过警方今天同他们联系后表示，已翻阅超市的闭路电视画面，相信陌生女子蓄意拐走女童。警方正在查询陌生女子的下落。

据了解，警方告诉涉及家属，闭路电视画面显示，陌生女子已跟随女童一阵子，当发现照顾女童的女佣望向别处时，直接上前牵起女童的手，试图将她拐走。

有网民在阅读到相关报道后，向《All Singapore Stuff》提供朋友当天拍摄的照片，并指该名友人目睹了这起事件，而试图掳走女童的，是一名中国籍女子。

此报道引起许多人的担忧。有网民就在警方的Facebook页面上贴文表示，如真有此案，身为家长的自己会非常关切，希望警方向媒体发布相关新闻。


警方回复《8频道新闻》询问时证实，已接获相关报案，而事件仍在调查中。
