Singapore – 17 February 2010 – Mainboard-listed Sunpower Group Ltd. ( “中圣集团”, “Sunpower” or “the Group”), a leading China-based heat-transfer technology specialist engaged in the design, R&D and manufacture of energy-efficient, energy-saving and environmental protection products, is pleased to announce that it has secured RMB124.5 million worth of contract to supply 12 key equipment including fluidized bed reactors to China’s largest polysilicon supplier, Jiangsu Zhongneng Polysilicon Technology Development Co. Ltd (“江苏中能硅业科技发展有限公司”or “Jiangsu Zhongneng”) which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong-listed GCL-Poly Energy Holdings Limited. The project is expected to be delivered by 1H2010 and impact FY2010 performance positively.

These key equipment supplies belong to the Heat Exchangers and Pressure Vessels segment and will be used for Jiangsu Zhongneng’s 50,000-ton per annum coldhydrogenation reconstruction project, where the process of cold-hydrogenation plays a key role in the production of polysilicon.

Professor Guo Hong Xin, Executive Chairman of Sunpower shares: “The contract marks the fourth contract we have received from Jiangsu Zhongneng since we first broke into the solar polysilicon industry. Following the successful delivery of projects worth RMB174 million in the past, we are privileged to receive the largest standalone contract of RMB124.5 million by Jiangsu Zhongneng this time, not just in a position of a supplier but also as a long-term strategic partner.”

Presently, Sunpower is under a strategic cooperative partnership with Jiangsu Zhongneng for the friendly exchange of Jiangsu Zhongneng’s core technology in international solar polysilicon production and Sunpower’s expertise in design and manufacturing. Combining knowledge and expertise, both parties will jointly engage in research and development to develop new technology and supply key process equipment specifically for the production of solar polysilicon. The strategic partnership has not only elevated Sunpower’s position as the designated equipment supplier of Jiangsu Zhongneng, but also as a priority supplier for the rest of Jiangsu Zhongneng’s power and related businesses.

Professor Guo elaborates: “To form a strategic tie-up with a prominent and heavyweight customer is a major testament to Sunpower’s technical expertise and technological leadership in China. We expect to further benefit from Jiangsu Zhongneng’s capacity expansion from 18,000 tons currently to 21,000 tons at the end of 2010. This will place Jiangsu Zhongneng as the world’s largest polysilicon producer and supplier.”

Outlook
The industry outlook remains bright for the Group as it expects to be a direct or indirect beneficiary from the Chinese government’s continued efforts in advocating energy efficiency, energy conservation and environmental protection.

Professor Guo says: “The global consciousness of energy saving and environmental protection shall lead industrials and corporates at large to shift to a low-pollution, low-emission-based economic model. As a globalizing economy, we believe that China has a huge growing space for renewable and new energy sources such as solar energy.

　　以上项目预计于今年上半年完成，并且对2010财年业绩形成正面影响。此合同是集团自这家中国最大多晶硅（polysilicon）供应商获颁的第四个合同。

　　集团表示，继之前顺利完成总值1亿7400万元人民币的项目后，集团如今获得最大的单一项目，使得其从供应商晋升成为对方的长期战略合作伙伴。

中圣集团(Sunpower Group)从新疆奎山宝塔石化有限公司赢得价值2亿5,350万人民币(4,880万元)的工程、采购与建筑(EPC)合约。该客户是宝塔石化集团的合资，也是一家控股公司。在合约下，公司将为新疆奎山石化厂设置硫磺回收系统及火炬系统。这两个系统分别价值2亿零600万人民币和4,750万人民币，并料将在2015年底和2014年底完工。合约的总收入将对公司的FY14和FY15业绩带来正面影响。公司的主席郭宏新把取得合约归功于全资子公司江苏中圣高科技产业(Jiangsu Sunpower Technology)的高效率及其能够完成高值合约的实力。

专门设计及生产节能和环保产品的中国商家中圣集团(Sunpower Group)从神华集团(Shenhua Group)赢得价值8,510万人民币的合约。在合约下，公司将为咸废水处理工程供应价值3,790万人民币的液体零排放技术及主要设备，以及为甲醇下游加工项目供应价值4,720万人民币的火炬系统工程、采购及建筑服务。预期合约将于2014年底完工，并将在陕西省榆林市榆神工业园执行。在合约开工后，公司的FY13和FY14业绩前景向好。
