我们FICT有举办全国数学比赛公开给所有各所大学生参与。。。。。

希望你们踊跃参与这项比赛。。。。

Objectives

To promote interest in Mathematics To strengthen Mathematical skills To create a networking event among local undergraduate students

Date 4th August 2007, Saturday Venue FICT UTAR                           PD block, No. 9, Jalan Bersatu 13/4,                           46200 Petaling Jaya,                           Selangor.                            Location Map (FICT is at PD Block) Prize First RM 1000 + Certificate Second RM 700 + Certificate Third RM 400 + Certificate 7 x Consolation RM 100 + Certificate

Time Event 8.30 am -              9.30 am Registration 9.30 am - 11.00 am Competition 11.00 am 12.00 pm Arrival of VIP Lunch 12.00 pm 1.30 pm Closing                           Speech by UTAR Council Chairman Y. Bhg. Tun Dr Ling Liong Sik                           Speech by UTAR President/CEO Y. Bhg. Tan Sri Datuk Dr Ng Lay Swee                           Awards Giving Ceremony

Rules

Open to all undergraduate students. Online registration at UTAR webpage. RM 10.00 registration fee paid on site. Closing Date: Extended to 3rd August 2007, or whenever registration exceeds 200 person No calculator and no reference materials are allowed in. Order of submission may be used for arbitration in ranking in the case of a tie in marks. Late comers will not be permitted to participate. The judges's decision is final. All committee members and helpers are not eligible to participate. Registration requirements: registration slip and student ID card.

Competition format:

Total of 30 multiple choice questions. One hour duration Competition will be conducted by using computer

这是我们第一次主办，你可以介绍靠近拉曼大学，PJ的朋友参与，只限200参赛者。
哈哈！
那我想明年若有再主办的话，届时你一定要参加哦。。。。
呵呵。。。

哈哈，老糊涂了！不过据我所知，新加坡的 A-Level Physic 很难一下。单凭 STPM Physic 程度不知道够不够？
多普勒，你的学校的物理的 syllybus 和 A-level 的一样吗？

There will be more than 20 questions at various level of
difficulties, included topics:
geometry on the plane,
basic number theory (divisibility, remainder...),
algebra (simple algebraic operations, relations between roots and
coefficients of polynomials...),
combinatorics (problems of counting),
logic, probability

It may entail some challenging questions on advanced calculus (limit of
sequence, sum of series...) or in algebra (group, vector space...) etc.

今天的比赛进行得很顺利。。。
大约有250人报道。。。
可惜我无法得到考卷。。因为讲师不给任何人把考卷带出考场。。。
我的工作就是监督他们比赛和收考卷。。。。
真的不好意思。。

第一名是来自。。Monash University...
第二名是马来女生。。。我忘了什么学校。。
第三名好像是来自。。UM生。。。。
接下来的安慰奖是包括UM生，UTAR生，MMU生。。。。
当场我只记得这些。。。

我看到一道问题是

Find the the remainder of (77^77 - 57^57)/20 .

所有的题目不可以用计算机来算。。。

你有方法算出来吗？

如果是我就直接用 mod 来找了。刚好 20 可以整除 77^77 - 57^57 ，因为

77^77 - 57^57 == (-3)^77 - (-3)^57
== -3 + 3
== 0 (mod 20)

注意到 3^4 == 81 == 1 (mod 20)

想请问那些得奖的都是大专生吗？还是有college/form 6/独中生 得奖？

对,得奖者全部都是大专生。。。。
也包括了大学基础班。。。
Form 6没得奖。。。。但有来参加。
