雖然吉隆坡谷（Klang Valley）的汽車迷和車迷們早在1970年代就已經有汽車展可以觀賞最新車型與技術，但其他地區的民眾一直沒有類似的活動。過去只有在購物中心舉辦的小型路演，通常只針對特定品牌，算是有限的「汽車展」體驗。


2026年，馬來西亞汽車、機器人與物聯網研究院（MARii）將把汽車展帶到柔佛和檳城。MARii隸屬於投資、貿易與工業部（MITI），自2016年以來就在雪蘭莪舉辦「馬來西亞汽車展」，每一屆規模逐年增長。

地點是吉隆坡郊外的The Mines Exhibition Centre，規模相對 modest。



去年，MARii與馬來西亞汽車協會（MAA）建立合作關係，雙方將輪流舉辦汽車展。由於今年由MARii舉辦「馬來西亞汽車展」（地點在Serdang的MAEPS），2026年將輪到MAA舉辦「吉隆坡國際移動展」，地點是吉隆坡的MITEC。



2025年的馬來西亞汽車展創下了東盟紀錄，成為歷屆最大、最成功的一屆，吸引了近30萬名觀眾，並創造了約17.2億令吉的潛在銷售額。


當屆展會共有超過200家參展商，展示了500多款車型，其中電動車和混合動力車型占了相當比例，顯示馬來西亞在移動生態系統上的實力和準備程度不斷提升。

MARii將利用「空檔年」把馬來西亞汽車展擴展到更多地區，讓汽車品牌、製造商、科技供應商和移動解決方案直接進入當地社區，使北部和南部的民眾也能親身體驗最新車型與技術，包括電動車和可持續創新。



這些地區展會的規模將盡量複製MAEPS的沉浸式體驗，帶給區域觀眾同樣的參展感受與創新體驗。
今年的馬來西亞汽車展，觀眾已經看到了Perodua即將推出的電動車型及其技術。


在檳城和柔佛的展會上，觀眾同樣可以見到最新與未來的車型技術，甚至親身體驗。

選擇檳城與柔佛作為首站，是因為這兩個州在馬來西亞汽車產業中具有戰略地位，尤其是新能源車型的增長較快。


MARii行政總裁Azrul Reza Aziz表示：
「2026年，馬來西亞汽車展將暫讓位給馬來西亞汽車協會舉辦吉隆坡國際移動展。然而，我們的使命不變——將最新汽車創新帶給更多馬來西亞人。



2026年的檳城和柔佛汽車展，是確保各地民眾都能接觸到新一代車型技術、電動移動和可持續創新的延伸。


透過這種方式，我們不僅擴大了影響力，也更具包容性地促進國家汽車生態系統的發展，符合2020年國家汽車政策的方向。」

从5月月9日至15日，在沙登的MAEPS举行，时间从早上10 点至晚上10点，最后入场时间为晚上9点30分。

2025年大马车展是由MARii主办，协办为MOONMAN，钻石赞助单位为宝腾汽车及第二国产车，其他赞助单位包括旅游，艺术及文化部、Chery、Honda 和ORS TECHNOLOGIES。








参与这次车展的单位包括: Perodua、Proton、 Chery、BMW、Zeekr 、Audi 、Mini、Smart 、TQ Wuling、GAC Motor、Jaecoo、iCaur、 Jetour 、MG Malaysia、Nissan、 GWM ；摩哆单位包括了Kawasaki、Medenas、Kymco 、GV、Boon Siew Honda、Yamaha 、Lambretta、Zontes等等。

While motoring fans and car enthusiasts in the Klang Valley have long had motorshows (as far back as the 1970s) where they can see the latest models and technologies, those in other parts of the country have not had similar events. Only small-scale roadshows at shopping centres have provided something like a motorshow and usually for specific brands.

In 2026, the Malaysia Automotive, Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii) will bring motorshows to Johor and Penang. MARii, an agency under the Ministry of Investment, Trade & Industry (MITI), has been holding the Malaysia Auto Show since 2016 in Selangor, with each event growing in size.


MARii (when it was known as the Malaysian Automotive Institute) held its first auto show on a modest scale at The Mines Exhibition Centre outside Kuala Lumpur in 2016.



Last year, it formed a collaboration with the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) which will see each organisation holding their motorshow in alternate years. As MARii held the Malaysia Auto Show this year (at MAEPS in Serdang), 2026 will be the MAA’s turn to hold its KL International Mobility Show which will be at MITEC in Kuala Lumpur.


The Malaysia Auto Show 2025 set a new ASEAN record as the largest and most successful edition to date, attracting nearly 300,000 visitors and generating RM1.72 billion in potential sales.



There were over 200 exhibitors and more than 500 vehicle models, including a strong representation of electric and hybrid vehicles — a clear indication of Malaysia’s growing strength and readiness in the mobility ecosystem.



Expanding auto show footprint
MARii will therefore use its ‘off year’ to expand the footprint of the Malaysia Auto Show to more regions in the country.



These regional editions will bring automotive brands, manufacturers, technology providers, and mobility solutions directly to local communities — enabling Malaysians in northern and southern regions to see, learn and experience cutting-edge vehicle technologies, electric mobility and sustainable innovations firsthand.

These events are designed to replicate the immersive experience at MAEPS, bringing the same scale of engagement and innovation to regional audiences.


At the Malaysia Auto Show this year, visitors got a glimpse at Perodua’s upcoming EV model and its technologies.



Visitors to the Penang and Johor events will also get to see the latest and future models and technologies, and experience some of them.




Penang (May 2026) and Johor (August 2026)




were selected as the first locations for the Malaysia Auto Show due to their strategic importance in Malaysia’s automotive landscape, particularly in the increase of new energy vehicles within these states.

Bringing automotive innovations to more Malaysians
“In 2026, the Malaysia Auto Show will take a step back to give way to the Malaysian Automotive Association as they host the prestigious Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show.



However, our mission remains unchanged and the drive to bring the latest automotive innovations closer to Malaysians will not stop at one venue or one city,” said Azrul Reza Aziz, MARii’s Chief Executive Officer.

“The Penang Auto Show and Johor Auto Show 2026 are an extension of the mission to ensure that people in every region have access to new generation vehicle technology, electric mobility and sustainable innovation.



With this approach, we are not only expanding our reach, but also strengthening the development of the national automotive ecosystem in a more inclusive manner in line with the National Automotive Policy 2020,” he said.
