马航要换21架A330!!

DOHA (Reuters) - Malaysia Airlines plans to announce a decision on replacing its fleet of 21 Airbus A330 widebodies with more fuel-efficient new-generation planes around mid- to late July, its chief executive said on Sunday.

"We are in a late stage of the process. We are looking at one-to-one replacement on our A330 fleet," Malaysia Airlines chief executive Izham Ismail told Reuters on the sidelines of airline industry body IATA's annual meeting in Qatar.

He declined to say whether the airline would order the planes, meant to replace 15 A330-300s and six A330-200s, from a manufacturer directly or from lessors.

The Airbus A330neo, A350 and Boeing 787 are the new-technology options competing in that size range, but Izham declined to disclose which types were under consideration.

Malaysia Airlines has A350s in its fleet and had placed a provisional order for 787s in 2017 but let the deal lapse.

The fleet modernisation plan designed to help lower carbon emissions comes as the airline, which was loss-making for years even before the pandemic, has been reporting positive cashflow since October.

Izham said Malaysia Airlines, which cut its debt burden by more than half as part of a restructuring agreed with creditors last year, hoped to return to a profit in 2023.

马航要换飞机也不是不行,毕竟full service airline,飞机不能太旧
隔壁新航就有明文,飞机好像10年就卖掉了

比较大的争议是,要买飞机,还是要租飞机
如果马航成功翻身,以后一定后悔租飞机
如果马航继续无药可救,以后一定后悔买飞机(如买A380就是一个错误)

我其实倒有个想法,反正买都买了
也卖不出,其实马航应该废物利用,拿A380来飞伦敦,悉尼,墨尔本,应该还是有望填满座位的。。。

至于新的中程飞机,我觉得A330neo就好了
不需要A350,787
反正乘客量都差不多
除了新技术,A350/787 (8000+nm)贵在于更是研究给超长程飞行的
A330neo (-900 6200nm)勉强也可以飞伦敦了
什么KL直飞纽约的,咱们就别想了
马航要翻身,就只能做区域冠军
A330neo足够了。。。
反正AAX取消了很多订单,马航可以找lessor,便宜便宜从airbus买下。。。

其实买A321XLR更合适,AAX就走这个路线

用A321XLR飞日本,肯定不会亏钱,但赚也赚不多

咱们把目标放低,先赚小钱。。。

马航就是因为A380太大装不满乘客才买了6架A350-900来取代6架A380. 现在重启A380飞伦敦悉尼也不可能装得满

伦敦还是可以的,以前BA有直飞,抢了一些生意,现在没有了

只是不懂是不是全部A380都改去all econ了

还没听过有800多座,ALL ECONOMY的A380

Malaysia Airlines (MH, Kuala Lumpur Int'l) has signed a three-year charter contract with Andalusia Travel & Tours Sdn Bhd, a Malaysian tour operator, covering A380-800 services out of Kuala Lumpur Int'l to each of Madinah and Jeddah for Hajj and Umrah pilgrimage, the Malaysian Reserve has reported.

The contract covers a total of around 200 roundtrip flights and runs from August 2018 through August 2021.

These flights will eventually be transferred to a new unit planned within the Malaysia Aviation Group which will be dedicated to Hajj and Umrah charters once it secures all necessary authorisations from both the Malaysian and the Saudi authorities. The subsidiary is tentatively scheduled to launch in late-2018.

The carrier had previously announced its plan to reconfigure all six of its A380s into an all-economy layout seating around 700 passengers, up from 494 in the current three-class layout. While the aircraft main task in the future will be Hajj and Umrah charters, the carrier also plans to deploy the A380s opportunistically on other key routes.

算飞行小时的话,应该是737max

A321XLR适合5千至8千公里的长瘦航线,如吉隆坡-阿德莱德,吉隆坡-德黑兰,吉隆坡-约翰内斯堡,吉隆坡-毛里求斯,吉隆坡至各中亚国家首都等,5千公里以下的航线不必使用XLR,A320NEO和A321NEO就搞定

北京,仁川,伊斯坦布尔,悉尼,墨尔本等是主要航线,A321XLR太小,适合A350和A330(CEO和NEO)

对马航来说,A350-1000就已经太大了


对文莱航空来说,B787-900就已经很大了
