(古晋7日讯)设于柏特拉再也的巨人(Giant)霸级市场将於12月19日正式开幕,届时,砂首席部长拿督巴丁宜丹斯里阿迪南沙登将受邀出席。
目前,全砂共有8间分布在美里(2间)、诗巫(2间)及古晋(3间),而规模最大则是位于柏特拉再也的巨人霸级市场,耗资逾128万令吉打造。
据了解,该霸市面积为220千平方尺大,该建筑物分为2层楼,而且拥有多达500个停车位。此外,该霸市总共40个店铺出租,基本设备包括美食广场、银行、提款机及儿童游乐场等。
巨人霸级市场的商品种类繁多,包括新鲜食品、日常用品等,可谓应有尽有,而且能为顾客带来现代化及更愉快的购物体验。
与此同时,一些商品则标榜每日低廉价格的形式出售,势必让顾客感受到物超所值!
值得一提,柏特拉再也巨人霸级市场的批发中心将於明年6月开幕,该中心位于巨人霸级市场的后方,更多商品将以批发价格售卖,让顾客有更多选择!

那个220千平方英尺比Vivacity还大 ,无语中。。。准确的资料请参考一楼,因为是根据报章转载过来的新闻,所以无法进行更改。。。现在的记者都不知道在干嘛的 。。。 |

我指的是面积单位,220,000平方公尺等于2,368,000平方尺,而Vivacity才1,200,000平方尺。 |

Hypermarket will create 320 jobs

KUCHING: The new Giant Hypermarket by GCH Retail in Petra Jaya, scheduled for a soft opening this Saturday, is set to create 320 job opportunities to locals.
The hypermarket, which started construction in January, will serve as the regional distribution centre and head office for the group in Sarawak. Currently, there are 130 permanent employees at the hypermarket.
Dairy Farm Group regional director food (Malaysia and Brunei) Datuk Tim Ashdown said an additional 120 temporary employees would be hired for the opening and, should the opening go better than planned, more jobs would be offered.
“We have another 40 staff when the distribution centre opens. That is just for hypermarket, the shops around here create another 200 jobs,” he said during a media tour.
“About 320 new jobs are created permanently as the result of this.”
The 7.5-acre complex will house 42 shops and 150 smaller temporary stalls for the opening. About 35% of the retail area covers food and beverages stalls, including a food court, while the other 65% is for fashion, electronics and jewellery.
“Employing local staff is very important and all our managers are Malaysians. We are bringing in experienced Malaysian executives in to help us. With their capabilities, we’re hoping that some of the people rooted here will be the store managers and the leaders of the business in the future,” said Ashdown.
The fresh products in the hypermarket are locally sourced as much as possible with 30 local suppliers offering products grown all over Sarawak.
He also expressed his interest to work with local suppliers who were looking for opportunities to grow their businesses.
GCH Retail is a subsidiary of Dairy Farm International, which also operates Cold Storage, Mercato and Jasons Foodhall. It has built up presence in 11 countries.
This is the fourth Giant in Kuching and the biggest development in the state, totalling RM128mil in investment. It boasts the latest designs and convenience for shoppers, with around 500 shaded carpark spaces.
“This development which we own is really a statement of our intent. This is a long-term investment.
“We believe the Sarawak market is very attractive. We are very pleased with the stores we have here so far. We will continue to look for opportunities,” said Ashdown.
The hypermarket spans 71,000 sq ft ,including warehouse, staff areas and offices. The total built-up area is 221,000 sq ft. The official opening is set for June 2016.

如果要找進口巧克力,giant應該不夠多元化。
賣的通常都是made in malaysia。

giant 的食品选择比everise 还要差,我觉得他们的食品差不多跟h&l, upwell 那样而已。BDC 的everise 罐头种类都多过它。
