和我家父一样。。stage 4 lung cancer...
Treatment chemo + radiotherapy...
今天是他的最后一次radiotherapy （需5 次电疗）。。
下个礼拜开始。。要开始计划化疗了。。。
医生说他只有半年命。。。但是我们从都没放弃为他治疗。。
他现在已吃全素。。运动。。喝蔬果汁。。。
我相信会有奇迹的出现。。。

I started coughing when doing deep breathing or when in activities 7 months ago. Western & Chinese medicine have no effect to stop my cough. felt week and tired. after taking X Ray & CT Scan in March 2012 & was confirmed a stage 4 lung cancer patient. I was advise to take 6 to 9 dose of (kimo ?) treatment. Is it OK to do so or shall i turn to herbs or chinese or other type of treatment ? Now I only take vegetables & fruits & twice a week taking fish. How is the % of  curing ? any statistic data of curing by (kimo ?) or herbs like Sabar Snake Grass ?  Any experience or difficuties I may face in future. please advice

My Dr said 4th stage never said final stage his advice is to do chemo treatment
I was having 7 months continuous dry cough with no blood before I went for X ray & CT scanX Ray findings:
Numerous lesions throughout both lungs, largest measuring 1.5 cm. heart size is normal
Impression:
Features suggest numerous bilateral metastases.
Suggest clinical correlation

other history:

Right submandibular salivary gland and lymph node were taking away by operation on 27-4-2010 & 15-5-2010 followed  by a  32 radiotheraphy treatment fr Aug 2010 to Sept 2010

    Prognosis for stage 4 lung cancer, with metastases to surrounding tissues, especially salivary glands and lymph node, can be very poor, i believe that your dry cough is due to the removal of salivary glands, leading to cessation of saliva secretion. There is a special oil spray which lubricate the oral cavity, rendering temporary relieve of dryness in the mouth and throat. At the moment, i would say that all available treatment, be it nutrition or holistic therapy, are mainly symptomatic, aiming to relieve your symptoms and sufferings.

Only my right salivary gland & 2 lymph nodes were taken away I still have a left gland which produces enough saliva & I do not have dryness in my mouth & throatmy cough happens in the following situations:
1  in activities like fast walking
2 in a dusty & smoky place
3 cold place (air con room or highland area)
4 bad smell area (like toilet)
5 the first few minutes when laying down
Temporary relief:
1 Massage & warm water bag apply to my back
2 take a menthol sweet


thanks for your advice of oil spray which I am going to get fr the store
I have taken about 20 cans of menthol sweet & start worrying about taken too many sugar in the past few months

    Glad to hear that you are still producing enough saliva well, at the age of 64, with stage 4 cancer metastase to lymp node, do keep a strong will. Cancer cells are vulnerable to oxygen, so exercising which increase oxygen level in the blood, e.g. Qi Gong, has shown to cause spontaneous remission of some end stage cancer, which i think you should start practising from now While the prognosis for stage 4 cancer are not optimistic, there are always hopes as far as you are still mobile, with good digestion and absorption. For the cough, you may try to relieve it with acupuncture at 天突，大杼，风门and肺腧，which increase lungs adaptability to changes of external environment, e.g. respiratory rate, temperature, irritations...etc

大意是，练气功可以取得奇迹，咳嗽的症状，可以通过针灸疏解

I have been praticing taiji quan & xi gong for the past 10 yearsfor the past few months I have stopped doing xi gong as I do deep breathing I will cough
I keep on doing taji quan twice daily just to maintain my health may look for some one whose xi gong needs less deep breathing

   there seems to be some structural damages of your lungs, which affect the respiration mechanism, hence deterring you from deep breathing. Perhaps you should get a good qi gong master to rectify the energy channel of your lungs enery channel, enabling you to perform deep breathing again, some acupuncture maneuvre can achieve this too, with penetrating acupuncture on the chest and back
