Paulaner Bräuhaus proudly presents the 12th annual “Original Oktoberfest” from 30 September to 7 October 2011.  This year, patrons at Paulaner Bräuhaus’ Oktoberfest will once again relive the convivial mood of its Munich’s original. Tentages will be set up in the al fresco terrace where they can all gather to soak up the lively atmosphere and partake in the festivities. Live German band “Scharivari Sextett” from Munich will also entertain the crowd at the bar, as well as the restaurant with rousing performances of traditional and modern Bavarian tunes spiced with all-time favourite Oktoberfest hits.  

THE ORIGINAL OKTOBERFEST BIER  Paulaner Bräuhaus is the only location in Singapore where you can have a taste of authentic Oktoberfest bier as Paulaner is one of the six Munich breweries allowed to participate in this event. Savour the smooth and rich flavour of this quintessential beer, freshly-brewed on the premises by Paulaner Bräuhaus’ resident brewmaster, in accordance with the traditional purity regulations set in 1516. This full-bodied beer with a light, hoppy malt taste has an alcohol content of 6 percent. You may even get a chance towitness the showmanship of our frauleins, or bier girls, who will be on the floor in their original costumes offering Schnapps shots and gingerbread hearts.

BAR AND BEER GARDEN  Oktoberfest delights such as the Crispy pork knuckle with sauerkraut and bread dumpling, Potato rӧsti with dry smoked ham gratin with Gruyére cheese and many more will be served alongside the popular German barbecued sausages which will be grilled a la minute. Between sips of Oktoberfest bier, diners can tuck into these scrumptious treats complemented with the ubiquitous sauerkraut, sweet German mustard and other delectable finger food.

OKTOBERFEST MENU AT THE RESTAURANT  At the restaurant, diners can indulge in an authentic Oktoberfest feast specially crafted by Executive Chef Klaus Lukarsch. The extensive menu comprises traditional festive goodies such as Paulaner’s famous grilled knuckle on Sauerkraut with gravy and bread dumpling, “Oktoberfest” style grilled chicken with mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables, as well as the Crunchy pork roast on red cabbage with potato dumpling. Other scrumptious classics include Paulaner Brew house special platter and the Bavarian sausage sampler, as well as desserts like the Caramelized Bavarian Emperor’s pancake with apple plum compote.
