“I’m just one person. What can I do about global warming?”

Thanks to the WWF (World Wildlife Fund), you can join the movement for change simply by turning off your lights for an hour.
Introducing Earth Hour 2009. Earth Hour started in 2007 in Sydney,Australia with 2.2 million homes and businesses turning their lightsoff for one whole hour. Only a year later and this event has become aglobal movement with up to 100 million people across 35 countriesparticipating.
Global landmarks such as the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco,Rome’s Colosseum and the Coca Cola billboard in Times Square, all stoodin darkness, as symbols of hope for a cause that grows more urgent bythe hour.
Now that WWF Malaysia has brought this event to our shores, you too canmake a stand for environmental awareness and reduced energyconsumption. On the 28th of March 2009 from 8:30pm to 9:30pm,we encourage you to turn your lights off and stand united againstglobal warming alongside the KL Tower and other major buildings in ourcountry.
