QPR OFFER NEW DEALS TO CLINT HILL & ALEJANDRO FAURLIN
PUBLISHED 14:28 27th May 2015 by @QPRFC Hill and Faurlin in preliminary discussions about extending their stay at Loftus Road ... - New deals offered to Clint Hill and Alejandro Faurlin
- Karl Henry has until June 30th to exercise his contractual option for a further year
- Brian Murphy, Richard Dunne, Rio Ferdinand, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Joey Barton and Bobby Zamora released
CLINT Hill and Alejandro Faurlin will be offered new deals to stay at Loftus Road this summer.
The duo, whose current contracts are due to expire at the end of June, are in preliminary discussions with the club about extending their stay in W12.
In addition, Karl Henry has until June 30th to exercise his contractual option for a further year.
Meanwhile, the club can confirm six first team players are set to leave QPR.
Brian Murphy, Richard Dunne, Rio Ferdinand, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Joey Barton and Bobby Zamora will all depart when their contracts expire on June 30th.

RELEASED: Joey Barton is one of six players leaving Loftus Road this summer
Brian Murphy moved to QPR from Ipswich in August 2011, initially as understudy to Paddy Kenny. The 32 year old made six appearances for the club.
Richard Dunne joined the R’s in the summer of 2013, following our relegation from the Premier League. He was brought in to add some steel and experience to the Rangers backline ahead of a tough Championship campaign. The Irishman’s attitude and commitment, not to mention his commanding performances at the heart of the Rangers defence, played a key role in our promotion-winning season. In our Play-Off Final victory over Derby, he was named man of the match for helping to keep the Rams at bay. The 35 year-old made 69 appearances during his two years with the club, scoring once.
Rio Ferdinand was signed last summer after leaving Manchester United. The 36 year old made 12 appearances for QPR. The thoughts of the club continue to be with him during this difficult time.
Shaun Wright-Phillips joined the R’s in the summer of 2011 from Manchester City. The 33 year old made 74 appearances during his four-year stay at Loftus Road, scoring twice. His finest moment during that period came when he netted the only goal of the game to secure a memorable win for QPR at Chelsea during the 2012/13 campaign.

ZAMORA: Striker Bobby exits W12 after making 93 appearances for the club
Joey Barton joined QPR four years ago from Newcastle United. Over the course of his first season at Loftus Road, he played his part as the club successfully avoided relegation to the Championship. Barton spent the 2012/13 campaign on loan at Marseille, before returning to play a key role in the club’s promotion campaign of last season, captaining the club – along with Clint Hill – to Play-Off Final glory against Derby County at Wembley. The midfielder made 99 appearances for the R’s.
Bobby Zamora will go down in QPR folklore for THAT goal in the Play-Off Final, which secured the club’s immediate return to the top-flight. Zamora signed for Rangers from Fulham in January 2012 and went on to make 93 appearances, scoring 14 goals. Aside from his memorable strike against the Rams last year, Zamora is also credited with turning the Play-Off semi-final, second leg against Wigan Athletic on its head. With the R’s trailing 1-0, Zamora was introduced from the bench where he helped Junior Hoilett win a penalty before setting up Charlie Austin for an extra-time winner. The 34 year-old’s incredible goal in our 4-1 win at West Brom in April is also worthy of a mention.
In addition, loanees Mauricio Isla, Niko Kranjcar, Eduardo Vargas and Mauro Zarate have all returned to their parent clubs.
The club would like to thank all the players for their contribution to QPR and wish them every success in the future.

QPR SIGN AUSSIE INTERNATIONAL MASSIMO LUONGO
PUBLISHED 14:30 28th May 2015 by @QPRFC Rangers complete signing of highly-rated Swindon Town midfielder, Massimo Luongo ... - Massimo Luongo joins QPR from Swindon Town for an undisclosed fee
- 22-year-old signs a three year deal at Loftus Road
- Head Coach Chris Ramsey worked with Australian international at Tottenham
QPR have completed the signing of Swindon Town midfielder Massimo Luongo for an undisclosed fee.
The Australian international has penned a three year contract at Loftus Road.
Luongo enjoyed a stellar season in 2014/15, contributing six goals and eight assists as Town reached the League One Play-Off Final, only to succumb to defeat against Preston North End at Wembley. He was also voted into the PFA League One team of the year by his peers.

QPR Head Coach, Chris Ramsey, is delighted with the addition of the 22-year-old playmaker, commenting: “Mas is a player I know a lot about having played a part in his development at Spurs.
“He brings quality on the ball; the ability to link up play all across the pitch; and his goals and assists record at club and international level speaks volumes for a creative midfielder.
“As with any young player, there are areas of his game that need improving, but knowing him as I do, I know he will embrace the learning curve of playing for us in the Championship.
“I'm confident he will flourish at Loftus Road.”
FROM THE SHADOWS: Luongo looking forward to the Championship this season
Luongo, who played a pivotal part in the Socceroos’ triumph at the Asian Cup in January, scoring in the final on the way to being named player of the tournament, is relishing the move to Loftus Road, commenting: “Regular football is important to me. That’s why QPR appealed to me. I’m at my best when I’m playing week in, week out – I’m all for playing as many games as possible in a season.
“The step up to the Championship is going to be a challenge, but I’ll always back myself.
“I sat down with the manager (Chris Ramsey), and the big thing for me was where he wants to go with the club. Also, how he wants me to be involved attracted me. He sold it to me really well.
“I never want to rest on my laurels – I always want to push on. I’m very excited to now be a QPR player. I can’t wait to start pre-season and get my head down.”

QPR CLINCH BEN GLADWIN SIGNING
PUBLISHED 16:30 28th May 2015 by @QPRFC Rangers swoop for versatile Swindon attacker, Ben Gladwin ... - QPR sign Ben Gladwin from League One side Swindon Town
- 22-year-old joins on a three-year contract
- He follows Robins teammate Massimo Luongo to Loftus Road
Ben Gladwin has joined QPR from Swindon Town for an undisclosed fee.
The versatile 22-year-old has signed a three year deal in W12, following former Robins team-mate Massimo Luongo to Loftus Road.
Like Luongo, Gladwin played a leading role in Swindon’s run to the League One Play-Off Final in 2014/15, with eight of his 11 goals coming in the final seven fixtures of the campaign.
He told www.qpr.co.uk: “I’m really pleased to be joining the club – and I’m really excited.
“There was interest from the Premier League but for me, personally, I think this move is a little more realistic at this stage of my career. Playing is what it’s all about. Sitting on the bench is no way to improve your game.
“Chris Ramsey is a fantastic coach and I’m sure he’ll improve me on the training pitch. I spoke to him earlier this week and was hugely impressed by what he had to say and where he sees me fitting in.
“Everyone I’ve spoken to about QPR said it would be a good move for me. I can’t wait to get going here.”

IN A SPIN: Ben Gladwin moved to Loftus Road quickly following the conclusion of Swindon's season
QPR Head Coach, Chris Ramsey, is relishing the opportunity to work with the promising attacker, commenting: “Ben’s a fine addition for us and someone myself and Les have been monitoring for some time.
“I'm happy we've persuaded him to come here because there was a lot of interest from other clubs, some in the Premier League. He just wants to come in and play and he'll get that opportunity with us.
“I'm looking forward to coaching him and working with a player I believe can only keep improving.”

RUBEN GNANALINGAM APPOINTED QPR CO-CHAIRMAN
PUBLISHED 09:20 15th June 2015 by @QPRFC Club announces change at Boardroom level, with Gnanalingam named Co-Chairman alongside Fernandes ... - QPR name Ruben Gnanalingham as Co-Chairman
- Gnanalingham to work alongside Tony Fernandes
RUBEN Gnanalingam has been named Co-Chairman at QPR, working alongside Tony Fernandes.
The change, which is immediate, will see Gnanalingam play a more active role in the day-to-day running of the club, working closely with Fernandes across all areas of the business.
The pair will work together in conjunction with the senior management team at the club, led by newly-appointed CEO Lee Hoos and Director of Football, Les Ferdinand.
Speaking exclusively to www.qpr.co.uk, Gnanalingam said: “I have come on board in a more hands-on role to provide Tony with support across various areas of the club.
“Working as Co-Chairmen allows us to commit more time to QPR both individually and as a collective unit, making decisions together, whilst focusing on our specific duties.
“We are fully aware of the rebuilding task that is required at the club. It will take time, but – as a group of Shareholders – we remain 100% committed to QPR.
“I am excited and confident about how this relationship will work, as we look to get the club back on a sound footing.
“I am eager to just get down to work. The time for talking will come later.”
Fernandes added: “I’m really pleased with the new set-up and confident our individual strengths will enable us to dovetail efficiently in the best interests of the club, providing effective leadership to Lee and Les.
“We know we have a lot of work to do in terms of re-establishing the traditions of QPR, but with two of us working at closer quarters with the senior management team that we have in place at the club, we believe we can create a positive future in the short, medium and long term.”

QPR SIGN GERMAN STRIKER SEBASTIAN POLTER
image:
PUBLISHED 14:30 2nd July 2015 by @QPRFC Front-man pens deal to become QPR’s fifth signing of the summer ... - Striker Sebastian Polter joins QPR from German side FSV Mainz
- Polter signs a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee from the Bundesliga side
- German forward is Chris Ramsey's fifth signing of the season
QPR have completed the signing of German striker Sebastian Polter from FSV Mainz 05.
Polter, 24, arrives on a three year deal, after Rangers agreed an undisclosed fee with the Bundesliga side for his services.
Polter, who spent last season on loan at FC Berlin, scoring an impressive 14 goals in 29 appearances, is excited about the challenge of playing in England, commenting: “I'm really happy to be here.
“It's my dream to play in England, so I couldn't be happier.
“To play for Queens Park Rangers, at this stage of my career, is really good for me and something I am very excited about.
“It's a physical league, but I'm a physical player, a team player, and I feel I will adapt.
“I’m really looking forward to playing here at Loftus Road in front of the supporters.”

WELCOME: Les Ferdinand greets Sebastian Polter on his arrival
R’s Head Coach, Chris Ramsey, believes Polter’s game is well-suited to English football, telling www.qpr.co.uk: “I am pleased to bring Seb in. He’s a player who has been under the radar a little bit, and our scouts have done a good job in identifying him. I am really looking forward to working with him.
“He fits the description of what we need for the Championship, he’s got a good goalscoring record and looks a very good player.
“He reminds me of a Bobby Zamora of a few years ago, and if he can emulate anything like Bobby achieved here, that will be brilliant for the club.
“I am sure he will enjoy working with us. This is a great club for him to come to in order to prove himself.
“This is another piece of the jig-saw, but we are obviously still looking for more players.”
Director of Football, Les Ferdinand, added: “We're delighted to have Seb here. He's a player we've scouted extensively – and all our reports have been positive.
“He scored a lot of goals in the second tier in Germany last year and he's got great potential to keep improving as a player.
“There was lots of interest for him from Bundesliga clubs but he feels, as we do, that his game is suited to English football, and he has a great desire to prove himself in this country.”

QPR'S ITALY TOUR SQUAD CONFIRMED
PUBLISHED 09:00 9th July 2015 by @QPRFC 24-man squad confirmed for QPR's pre-season training camp in Italy ... - QPR head to Italy later today for nine-days
- Chris Ramsey confirms 24-man travelling first team squad
- Trialists Oscar Goburn and Chris Schorch part of travelling party
- Armand Traore to remain in England following injury
QPR have named a 24-man squad for their pre-season training camp in Italy, which commences later today.
The squad depart from Heathrow this afternoon, ahead of a nine day tour in Stresa, which includes friendly fixtures against Shakhtar Donetsk, AS Monaco and Al Ittihad.
The travelling party includes international trio Rob Green, Leroy Fer and Charlie Austin, who all reported back for training earlier this week, as well as summer signings Massimo Luongo, Ben Gladwin, Jamie Mackie, Jay Emmanuel-Thomas and Sebastian Polter.
Young trio Darnell Furlong, Brandon Comley and Reece Grego-Cox are also included.
R’s Head Coach Chris Ramsey has also named trialists Chris Schorch and Oscar Gobern in his squad.
German defender Schorch is a free agent following his release from MSV Duisburg, as is former Huddersfield Town midfielder Gobern.
Armand Traore misses out owing to a minor muscle injury.
Director of Football, Les Ferdinand, told www.qpr.co.uk: “It’s a really important trip for us.
“Pre-season training camps are always vital and this one will be no different, especially with the vast changes to the squad here over the summer.
“It’s a big team bonding opportunity for the lads, especially those new players who have only been here a couple of weeks at the most.”
He added: “The games are important in terms of ticking things over.
“The standard of the opposition are strong in Italy, but results aren’t the be all and end all.
“Of course we’ll be going out to perform and try and win, but there’s too much emphasis put on results at this time of year.
“You can only judge teams when the season gets underway – that’s the true test.”

Midfielders: Henry, Hoilett, Luongo, Gladwin, Phillips, Gobern (trialist), Diakite, Faurlin, Fer, Mackie, Doughty, Comley
