Dato' Lim Chee Wah
Y. Bhg. Dato' Lim Chee Wah, 68, is a Non-Independent Executive Director and Deputy Chairman of PPB Group Berhad. He was appointed to the Board on 2 March 1988. Dato' Lim is also the Executive Chairman of Malayan Sugar Manufacturing Co. Berhad. He serves on the boards of several listed companies, namely, Jerneh Asia Berhad, Tradewinds (M) Berhad, Malaysian Bulk Carriers Berhad and Transmile Group. He is also a Director of and Kuok Brothers Sdn Bhd and a trustee of Kuok Foundation Berhad. He graduated from the University of Malaya with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Economics.
Datuk Lim Chee Wah
Datuk Lim Chee Wah, the youngest son of Tan Sri Lim, the founder of the Genting Group, which is Asia's largest casino group.
Datuk Lim Chee Wah, a Malaysian, aged 54, was appointed to the Board on 5 March 2002. He is the founder and President of VXL of the VXL Group of companies. He was formerly the Deputy Managing Director of Genting Berhad and Joint Managing Director of Asiatic Development Berhad.
Datuk Lim graduated from the London School of Economics with a degree in economics.
The formation of VXL Group is part of Datuk Lim's vision to bring into realisation information and communication services and technology transfer as advocated by the Government of Malaysia. Datuk Lim has been involved in the information, communication and technology ("ICT") sector since the early 1990's. He has invested in various business ventures in the ICT sector such as video streaming technology and e-commerce business applications.
Besides investing into the above, together with his team,Datuk Lim is also fast expanding VXL's other core businesses such as construction and financial services.
He also sits on the Board of Kien Huat Berhad and VXL Capital Limited, a Hong Kong public listed company.
