3,000 Seats Available for Advance Screenings of MJ Film + 25 Global Premieres
AEG President and CEO Tim Leiweke exclusively announced on Ryan's radio show Monday that Michael Jackson's biggest fans will have the opportunity to reserve seats for L.A.'s first screening's of Michael Jackson's THIS IS IT
Only 3,000 tickets will be available for the screenings and the first 500 fans will win special commemorative tickets created and designed by Michael Jackson for the London Concerts. (Limit one lenticularly-printed commemorative ticket for every two movie tickets purchased.)
No internet sales will be available for the special advance screenings at Regal Cinemas L.A. LIVE Stadium 14. All later shows will be available for puchase online. L.A. LIVE is the only location worldwide where fans can buy tickets in person.
Ticket purchases will be limited to two per person.
September 24 - 5:00PM - Fans can begin to line up at L.A. LIVE on Nokia Plaza to purchase tickets to the special advance screenings of Michael Jackson's THIS IS IT taking place on October 27 beginning at 9:00PM
September 27 - 12:01AM - Tickets go on sale exclusively at L.A. Live on Nokia Plaza for the special advance screenings taking place at the band new Regal Cinemas L.A. LIVE Stadium 14 on October 27.
October 27 - Grand opening of Regal Cinemas L.A. LIVE Stadium 14 with special advance screenings of Michael Jackson's THIS IS IT on all 14 screens.
October 28 - Regal Cinemas L.A. LIVE Stadium 14 begins limited engagement run of Michael Jackson's THIS IS IT.

Ne-Yo On The Album He Wrote For MJ
(24-9-2009) When we ran into songwriter extraordinaire Ne-Yo last summer, he’d just started writing songs for Michael Jackson’s comeback album. He completed the songs, but isn’t sure if he ever wants them to see the light of day:
It’s sitting there, waiting to either come out on someone else or not come out at all. I don’t know. I’m kind of on the fence because it was music that was meant to go to Michael, so I would kind of feel funny about giving it to someone else. Some people have been like, ‘Well, why don’t you release it yourself?’ Same reason. Because it was supposed to go to Mike. So I don’t know. I’ll sit and listen to it again and figure out what I want to do.”
The work, said Ne-Yo, was melodic, realistic, and cheery. “He didn’t want anything too sad or downtrodden. He wanted it to be upbeat. Melodic was the word that kept being repeated. ‘It has to be melodic. There has to be a melody that you can listen to half of once and be singing that.’"

Mariah Carey New Dedicates Album To MJ
(24-9-2009) Mariah Carey dedicates her new album, “Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel” to Michael Jackson. The album hits the world on September 29th.
“Angel” is a little different than most releases. This is the first time I can remember a major magazine — Elle, in this case — sponsoring the liner notes. “Angel” comes with a mini magazine tucked into the CD jacket, produced by Elle and featuring ads for Carey’s new fragrance and movie (”Precious”) as well as Mariah’s lists of favorite things and interviews with her and husband Nick Cannon. It’s a first, but what else do you expect from Mariah Carey?
Island Def Jam is not taking any chances with “Angel,” by the way. They’re starting with the release of Mariah covering Foreigner’s “I Want to Know What Love Is,” followed by a slew of potential singles — “Angels Cry,” “Ribbon,” and at least two others. So get ready for a Mariah onslaught — post the Whitney Houston avalanche. And just before an Alicia Keys tsunami. It’s the autumn of the divas!

L.A. Fans Prepare For Ticket Sales
(24-9-2009) Tickets go on sale Sunday at L.A. Live for the first screenings of "Michael Jackson's This Is It," the Sony Pictures concert documentary that chronicles the making of what would have been Jackson's comeback shows. The film will show on all 14 screens at the new Regal Cinemas at the downtown complex across the street from Staples Center.
The first 500 fans in line will be eligible to receive a "lenticular" ticket commemorating the planned 50-date "This Is It" concert engagement at London's O2 Arena. The tickets were said to be "inspired and designed" by Jackson, and fans who purchased tickets for the London performances had the option of receiving them in lieu of a refund.
Perhaps that's why AEG is anticipating quite the crowd to descend on the downtown complex this weekend. The line will officially open at 5 p.m. Thursday, and tickets will go on sale just after midnight on Saturday night/Sunday morning.
L.A. Live is the only screening location that will offer the commemorative tickets. There is a two-ticket limit per person, and buyers can receive only one commemorative ticket.
The L.A. Live screenings will mark the opening of the Regal Cinemas. The film will start showing at 9 p.m. Oct. 27, one day before it begins its limited, two-week run at theaters nationwide.
Parking for those camping out is free, and we're told that "music will be provided." The tickets for the initial preview screenings at L.A. Live will be sold only in person. However, all other screenings nationwide will be available for purchase online.
A total of 3,000 tickets will be available, and parking will close after the first 1,500 wristbands have been distributed. More information is available here.
