Michael Owen is in advanced talks with Everton and is close to joining his boyhood idols on a free transfer.
The former Liverpool and England striker, 32, who has also been courted of late by Stoke, must still pass a stringent medical but it suits his wishes to stay in the north-west.
The deal could go through on Monday, ironically on the night his last club Manchester United visit Goodison Park.
The signing will be considered controversial in some quarters as Owen's most prolific spell was with neighbours Liverpool.
His father Terry came through the ranks at Everton and made two First Division appearances in the 1967-68 season. Michael joined Liverpool at 12 before signing professional forms after his 17th birthday. He spent eight seasons at Anfield and scored 118 goals in 216 league appearances.
Owen struck five times against Everton in Merseyside derbies - including two in a 3-0 win at Goodison in 2003 in his last season at Liverpool - but never scored against them at Anfield.

差遠了吧。。。lucas 是翻版弱一點的 mascherano 還差不多

幸好他现在是说一年的计划。。要不然早就去隔壁了。。只希望他在这一年会有好表现，带liv回欧冠。。会不会回RM一年后很多是都可能发生。。也许modric 去了RM勒，一年后更加没位子。。阴差阳错被liv买断。。

Bootroom 是放球靴的地方， 在 Bill Shankly 时代， 每次训练完就会和教练组的成员， 饮酒或喝茶， 在 bootroom 里讨论战术， 而 Liverpool 以前有一个传统， 就是 manager 会是 bootroom 成员， 意思说曾经在教练组待过，Bob Paisley, Fagan, Dalgish, Souness 都是， Rafa Benitez, Roy Hogson, Brendan Rogers (Gerard Houllier???? 是member吗??) 就不是属于 bootroom 出身的， Steve Clarks, Sam Lee 等都具有 bootroom member 的身份， 现在的 Barcelona 也是有 bootroom 选帅的影子。。。

Bootroom 的好处就是下任主帅可以了解上任主帅的打法和战术， 并不需要太多的过渡期而且阵容也相对稳定， 只需要依据情况小更改并精益求精， Rafe Benitez 后 Roy Hogson 后 Kenny Dalgish 后 Brendan Rogers 这几年4位的战术都很有差别

这图都不是我做的，我只不过在HMF看到post来这里给大家看吧了。。
Bootroom我知道，但老实说不general的东西(特别是历史，大多数人中学历史都不好吧），外面的球迷当然会误会啦。。

不过，我也没看过真真的bootroom,我看的是黑白照。。
