US fund FMR ups Gamuda stake

KUALA LUMPUR: Gamuda Bhd’s share price which had come under heavy selling pressure recently, saw US-fund FMR LLC & FIL Ltd increasing its stake in the infrastructure-based company to 10.93% or 218.89 million shares.

A filing with Bursa Malaysia showed that FMR acquired 2.38 million shares in several transactions on that day.

Gamuda’s share price closed at RM3.86 on that day.

Shares of the company skidded after its managing director Datuk Lin Yung Ling stunned minority investors that he had disposed of 70 million shares for estate planning purposes.

我却被棕油期货大涨而进了些BKAWAN，今天我也拔褪逃了！

要快的3万变一亿三千多我就会。要快的就用马币换越南钱币.
rm30，000x4，600vnd＝138，000，000.00vnd
在股市3万变50万除非被财神爷看中，或是几十年买下云顶和大众银行的股票一直不放，3万变500万就是有可能的事.但这些凡人都做不到
我深信在股市50万边3万的就大有人在，这些钱都被大鳄吞没掉了.

他卖股的时机选得真好。。。

在他还未卖之前，根本没原因会造成股价大跌，价钱当然比现在好很多。
他一卖之后，肯定会引起恐慌，然后就是贱价抛售，要钱不要货。

MALAYSIA'S GAMUDA TARGET PRICE CUT TO 3.00 RINGGIT AFTER ELECTION - CITIGROUP              13-Mar-2008 15:34:00

- KUALA LUMPUR (Thomson Financial) - Citigroup said Thursday it is cutting its target price for Malaysian builder Gamuda Bhd to 3.00 ringgit from 3.50 ringgit after the stock suffered a steep fall early this week. Gamuda shares have fallen by nearly 12 percent since Monday, in line with the slide in the broader market, which has been rattled by the stunning electoral outcome over the weekend. Although the ruling Barisan Nasional coalition won in the just concluded elections, it lost its two-thirds majority in parliament as well as control of four states, in addition to Kelantan, which has already been in the hands of the opposition before the elections. The changing political landscape has raised concerns that new local governments may review several big-spending infrastructure projects located in the five states. Last year, Gamuda's joint venture was awarded by the government a contract to build an electrified double-tracking railway, which will cut through Perak, one of the states that are now controlled by the opposition. "We remain cautious on the lumpy 12.5 billion ringgit double-tracking rail project but have no basis to assume it will be called off," Citigroup said in a client note. "But the change in the Selangor state government will inevitably throw a spanner in its plan to sell its 40 percent water concessionaire, SPLASH, to the state," it said. The brokerage said Gamuda would suffer cash shortfalls by 2009 if it were to go ahead with its 1 billion dollars Yen So Park project in Vietnam. "Gamuda's balance sheet will deteriorate significantly without the sale of SPLASH. Its net cash will fall to 256 million ringgit by fiscal year 2009 even before the huge capital outlay needed for its investments in Vietnam," said Citigroup. The brokerage said it is cutting its forecast for Gamuda's earnings for the fiscal year to July by 2 percent as it does not expect the Vietnam project to make any profit contribution in the current year. Citigroup is expecting Gamuda to book a net profit of 306.6 million ringgit, revised downward from its previous forecast of 313.1 million ringgit. According to the mean forecast of 17 analysts polled by Thomson Financial, Gamuda may book a net profit of 360.7 million ringgit in the fiscal year to July 2008. "Chances are Gamuda will not be in time to recognize any sales before the close of fiscal year 2008. After all, we are turning cautious on the location of Yen So Park," Citigroup said. The brokerage said it is maintaining its "sell" call on Gamuda, with a lowered target price of 3.00 ringgit following the earnings cut. At 2.47 pm, Gamuda was down 6 sen or 1.9 percent at 3.10 ringgit.
