昨天我去参加一个盂兰节的DINNER。 他们有请大马97年MJ模仿者冠军来表演。
是华人。 身材有点胖。 大概是来之前已经有很多活动， 所以等到他来到表演的时
候， 水准差了很多。跳得没什么力气。 他跳了大概有7至8首歌曲。 有DANGEROUS，
BILLIE JEAN， THRILLER， THEY DONT CARE ABOUT US， HEAL THE WORLD， BEAT
IT， SCREAM。。。等等。他的BILLIE JEAN服装是最漂亮的。大家争着跑去前方录
影。 还有人请他喝啤酒。

(7-9-2009) Roger Friedman has published the following in his column, Showbiz 411:Neverland Owners’ Trademark Requests for Jackson Souvenirs
MichaelJackson’s partners in his Neverland Ranch, Colony Capital LLC, havefiled 20 trademark requests to brand the ranch for souvenirs with theU.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
I do mean lots of souvenirs.Here’s a partial list of where Colony would like to see the Neverlandname stamped. If they’ve forgotten something, it beats me:
Gamesand playthings, namely: plush toys, paper dolls, dolls and accessories,toy action figures, toy vehicles, toy cars, toy trucks, toy bucket andshovel sets, roller skates, toy model hobbycraft kits, musical toys,jigsaw puzzles, badminton sets, bubble making wand and solution sets,toy banks, puppets, toy balloons, yo-yos, kites, baseball bats, ballsof all kind, play wands, board games, playing cards, and children’sgames to play during travel; ornaments, and decorations for a Christmastree; sporting goods, museum services- namely: operating a museum inMichael Jackson’s former home and providing tours thereof; providingtheme park services; entertainment services, namely: live shows andevents; tennis and golf resort services; recreation and sporting clubservices; organization of meetings and conferences as well as clothing,footwear, headgear, and printed matter, namely: post cards,holiday/greeting cards, art prints, art reproductions, bumper stickers,stickers, decals, tissue/giftwrap, printed tickets, posters, wallcalendars, flags and pennants of paper, printed and paper emblems,brochures, catalogs, and merchandise bags; books, namely: non-fictionbooks about Michael Jackson, activity books, address books, appointmentbooks, coloring books, picture books, and comic books; paper and paperarticles, namely: photographs, stationery, memo pads, notebooks,envelopes, pencil sharpeners, pen and pencil cases and boxes, pens,pencils, erasers, rulers, paper weights, staplers, binders, notebooks,stationery consisting of writing paper and envelopes, memo pads,writing tablets, paper table cloths, paper napkins, paper coasters, andpaper mats; money clips, and in keeping with Michael Jackson’s theme ofpeace — toy rockets, toy guns, toy holsters.
Got the picture? Therequests were made on August 12, 2009. Sycamore Valley Ranch, whichmade the filings, is the joint venture of Colony Capital LLC andMichael Jackson. Of course, the problem with at least some of this isthat the town of Los Olivos, California, where Neverland fills 2,900acres, is against the ranch being turned into a Graceland-style museum.The road that leads to Neverland is a country two lane blacktop thatruns through horse country. A private school sits across the streetfrom the Neverland entrance.
Colony has invested over $50 millionin Neverland so far. They probably figure they’re going to make theirmoney back somehow. Of course, they don’t seem to realize that Jacksonhad parted company with Neverland in June 2005 and didn’t want to goback. And that there are many associations with the ranch, includingpolice raids, searches for evidence and pornography. Jay Leno isprobably getting Back to School jokes ready right now.
But ThomasBarrack, who owns Colony, lives in the county and sources say he ispressing on the local government to give him what he wants. Whether ornor he succeeds remains uncertain. In the meantime, I think they shouldmake Neverland into a Playmobil Playset where the gates open to findzoo animals, rollercoasters, and several Rolls Royces and Bentleys.Featured characters could include Colony’s Tohme Tohme, Bubbles theChimp, Shmuley Boteach, and Tatum O’Neal.
