We know that Volkswagen has already started testing the 2014 Tiguan replacement, which is due to arrive in 2016. Now, courtesy of a new report from Car Advice, we have new details about the upcoming crossover.
Speaking to the Australian publication, Volkswagen Australia’s managing director, John White, revealed that the new model will be “totally redesigned”, look phenomenal and larger in size.
The styling will reportedly be more aggressive and very different compared to the 2014 Volkswagen Tiguan. Third-row seating is being considered.

According to IWFA, Safety film ranges in thickness 4 mils to upwards of 21 mils and thicker. Somehow, for automobile window use is recommend between 4mil to 6mil thickness. Window film above 6mil may cause disrupt to your power window in 1-2 years time. Some car manufacturer already facing this problem few years ago and only experience shop will aware of this issue.

However we find a lot of shop offering 4-5mil thickness safety film to customer, but they tell the customer is 6-8mil. Guys, thicker safety film is not the selling point, laboratory on physical performance of safety film is the selling point.

In theory, 7mil thickness film provides slightly better smash resistance compare to 5mil, infact it is not much different in safety performance and costing. In Malaysia, safety film come with solar control performance. The different of price is normally due to different heat rejection. According to Raytech report, the metal/ ceramic coating on the film for heat rejection performance is so expensive in USA, on the other hand, the costing for the thickness of the film between 4-7mil is about the same.

Malaysia Ranks No.2 In SEA For Most Dangerous Roads
It’s recently been highlighted that Malaysia has been ranked to have one of the most deadly roads in all of Southeast Asia recently, trailing only Thailand in a recent release by the World Health Organization. In Malaysia, 25 deaths out of 100,000 people were recorded, against Thailand’s 38.1 deaths per 100,000. Singapore recorded an exemplary low road-death rate of 5 per 100,000.
The alarming numbers were echoed by a statement by the Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (MIROS), revealed that in 2013, an average of 18.9 deaths occurred each day, equating to a total of 6,915 for that year.
Terrifyingly, MIROS has also recently revealed a study which predicts that although significant efforts put forth by the authorities involved has showed some improvement to reduce the numbers, the eventual road death figures is still largely projected to continue to climb, well into 8,760 next year, and then 10,716 by 2020.

AES cameras, Ops Sikap, and strict laws of in-car safety (rear seatbelts etc.) include some of the efforts put forward by the government with hopes of reducing road fatality figures every year. But these are often countered by drivers with ignorance, impatience and carelessness.

Full-electronic toll collection (ETC) at PLUS Batu Tiga and Sungai Rasau toll plazas, supposed to happen this Monday, September 1, is on hold until a later date, according to a statement by Lembaga Lebuhraya Malaysia (LLM).

The postponement, instructed to PLUS by the Ministry of Works, is to give motorists passing through the two toll plazas more time to purchase SmartTAG, PLUSMiles or Touch ‘n Go cards before full electronic payment takes place, the statement said.
