LCL Corporation Berhad ("the Company") is pleased to inform that its subsidiary, LCL Furniture Sdn Bhd has on 12 August 2009, received a Letter of Acceptance ("LA") from Berjaya Langkawi Beach Resort Sdn Bhd for the proposed renovation & refurbishment to their 135 units superior rooms and 30 units deluxe rooms situated at Berjaya Langkawi Beach Resort for a contractual sum of RM10,617,630 ("the Project")
The said Project which was secured through a normal tendering process is expected to commence immediately and completed within 18 months thereof. The LA for the Project is available for inspection at the registered office from Monday to Friday between 9 am to 5 pm.
The Project is expected to enhance the earnings of the Group but does not have any material effect to the net asset per share, share capital and substantial shareholders of the Group.
The Board of Directors after due consideration , is of the opinion that the Project is in the best interest of the Company. The Project being incurred in the ordinary course of business, is not subject to the approval of the shareholders or any relevant authorities.
None of the directors or major shareholders or persons connected to them has any interest, whether direct or indirect in the above transaction. |
