Stock Market 9/16/10 September 16, 2010
The stock market did well again on Wednesday as investors continue to buy stocks in September. The Dow Jones will have resistance up at the 10,720 area so I see limited upside from here in the short term. All eyes will be on the initial jobless claims report due out at 8:30am EST on Thursday. Wall Street is expecting 460,000 initial claims so anything above 475,000 would be viewed as disappointing. If we see 450,000 or below, I expect the stock market to rocket higher and test that 10,720 area on the Dow Jones |

9/16/10 - Stock Market Investing Ideas
Sirius XM Radio (SIRI) - Shares of Sirius XM Radio broke through a key resistance level on Wednesday located at $1.10. Sirius XM Radio could be starting a new uptrend here and about to hit a new 52 week high. The next major resistance level for SIRI is located at $1.13 followed by $1.25.
Arena Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (ARNA) - Shares of Arena Pharmaceuticals, Inc. plunged below the $3.96 low on Tuesday. Arena Pharmaceuticals will now have support located at $3.50. If ARNA can break back up through $4.00, I will jump in for a trade.
Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD) - Shares of Advanced Micro Devices Inc. continues to hold $6.00. I think Advanced Micro Devices can trade back above $7.00 sometime during the next three months as I have been saying since $5.60.
YRC Worldwide Inc. (YRCW) - Shares of YRC Worldwide Inc. are back in the $0.24-$0.28 trading range. YRC Worldwide Inc has resistance located at $0.31. YRC Worldwide becomes a buy when the stock breaks back above $0.31.
Las Vegas Sands Corp. (LVS) - Shares of Las Vegas Sands Corp. hit a new 52 week high on Monday located at $32.68. Las Vegas Sands is now a short in my book and could be getting set to test $30 again.
Cell Therapeutics, Inc. (CTIC) - Shares of Cell Therapeutics, Inc. continue the bearish downtrend. Right now, I'd be avoiding Cell Therapeutics until it breaks above $0.55. CTIC will have resistance located at $0.55 and $0.70. |
