由Bali的15个地方政府各自的代表队以舞蹈和Ogoh-ogoh选出年度最佳表演.....待续....

早上收到的酒店memo
NYEPI (BALINESE NEW YEAR 1931) THE SILENCE DAY
On26th March 2009, Balinese people celebrate their new year by observing Nyepi (silence) for 24hours from 04:00 AM on 26th March to 06:00 AM on 27th March 2009.This unique tradition allow the Universe and all people to rest and directing the mind to higher goal of life as many great personalities had done in the past : Jesus Christ, Buddha, Mohammad, etc.
Not to make any noise, playing loud music, going out of the compound and turn on the light / fire at night
Prior to the Nyepi Day there is caremony called mabuu-buu. To clean the compound and the spirit.
People go around the compound playing the music, holding fire and masui to get rid all devils
Spirit so that they do not disturb people anymore. This ritual is very fascinating as people carry Ogoh-Ogoh ---the Devil---walk down the street. Start about 6PM on 25th March 2009. Everyone is welcomed to watch this magnificent and spectacular procession but no entry for car, motor bikes, or bicycles along Route, Start from : Legian Street-Turn left to Raya Kuta Street -Singosari Street-Finish at The Temple of Death near the Beach
Internally, this caremony keep people to remove negatives tendencies, unhealthy thought from one's mind and left behind all bad habits, out dated traditions in the past. |
