难怪啦，去年一直说挖到多深又多深，又放风说以送去实验室试验，遇到地震说油田入沙会延迟工程等等，那些狗样分析员在报章死命推，买在两块多三块的散仔真的很冤枉。

DJ MARKET TALK: Ranhill May Rise To MYR1.86 On MYR55M Contract

0048 GMT [Dow Jones] Ranhill (5030.KU) may rise to test MYR1.86 (5-day moving average) on announcement 51%-owned unit Ranhill WorleyParsons bagged MYR55 million engineering contract in South Pars, Iran. Scope of work includes engineering wellhead drilling platforms and gas processing facilities that will allow gas production of 2 billion cubic feet/day. "It's a relatively small contract for Ranhill, but is, nevertheless, expected to be earnings accretive. The announcement may trigger some mild buying interest," says dealer. Ranhill WorleyParsons posted FY07 net profit of MYR30.9 million on revenue of MYR283 million; FY08 forecast revenue is MYR400 million. Shares ended down 2.2% at MYR1.76 Friday. (VGB)

KUALA LUMPUR: Ranhill Bhd has suspended work on its Citarum Block in West Java pending further test at higher zones. In an announcement last Friday, the engineering company said that tests at the Baturaja formation produced mostly formation water and significant traces of hydrocarbon gases.

“The significance of the traces of hydrocarbon gases required further assessment. In any event, the result provides encouragement for testing the higher levels of the formation. The well is currently suspended pending testing of the higher cavernous zone of the Baturaja.

“We are of the opinion that the above tests are inconclusive as to the outcome of finding a significant hydrocarbon accumulation, and hence of not material development,” stated Ranhill.

In September last year, there were unconfirmed reports that Ranhill’s exploration work in West Java had paid off. However, the company clarified the reports and stated that it had yet to confirm any hydrocarbon deposits.

At that time, Ranhill was optimistic that its drilling had achieved good results and the well had good porosity, which improves the flow rate in the event of hydrocarbon deposits.

The company reiterated that fact in their March 21 announcement stating that the Baturaja formation is an effective reservoir with good porosity and permeability characteristics.

Analysts had earlier pegged Ranhill’s Citarum block as the most promising for striking oil given its location next to working oil wells. Ranhill’s other oil and gas ventures include Jaitirangon TAC and an exploration block in south Sumatra.

The Citarum block was one of the 11 blocks up for tender by the Indonesian government. It was the prospect of Ranhill becoming a full fledged oil and gas player that helped buoy its stock late last year to a 12-month high of RM3.46. Ranhill’s share priced closed four sen higher at RM1.34 yesterday.

The drilling and testing activities fell on the shoulders of Ranhill’s partner in the venture, Sound Oil Plc. The company has a 20% stake in the venture with Bumi Parahyangan Energi Ltd holding another 20%.

我公司的客户，Lloyd＇s Register 的人告诉我 ranhill 在 印尼的确是有挖油工程。细节他不愿告知。
