MIMBraises Malayan Bulk Carriers (5077.KU) target price to MYR4.40 based on10% discount to 12X sector PER from MYR4 previously, but keeps Sellrating on view share price has run ahead of fundamentals. share down3.7% at MYR4.22. 1Q08 net profit of MYR112 million within expectations,but revenue fell 5% on year due to slight correction in bulk market,says analyst. Notes, Baltic Dry Index (BDI) very resilient recently dueto spike in commodity prices; index peaked at 11,793 May 20, 2008;raises 2008 average forecast to 10,000 vs 2007 average at 7070. "Allin, our earnings forecast for FY08 and FY09 have been raised by 7% eachto MYR410 million and MYR416 million respectively," says MIMB in report. |

问题就出在other operating income。2007年同期是86mil,2008年只有3.8mil。这是卖船的盈利,所以2008Q1的revenue比2007Q1高,但profit却比2007Q1低。
目前的BDI也比2007Q1和Q2高,Maybulk也把3辆船脱手,所以2008年的盈利相信会胜去年。

谁说Profit大缩水???
建议你们看看去年同期业绩报告,留意"Other operating income",为什么去年同期会那么多?你就会知道是不是Profit大缩水。

对,中国真的很资产丰富,但不是每样东西都能100%自给,还是需要外国入口,也未必是从大马进口。比如煤,是从澳洲进口的。Maybulk不是只走大马航线。 |

The PRC remained as Malaysia's fourth largest export destination in 2005 with total trade valued at RM85.10 billion, increasing by 19.1 per cent.
Exports increased by 9.6 per cent to RM35.22 billion while imports increased by 27 per cent to RM49.88 billion. - Malaysia recorded a trade deficit of RM14.65 billion in 2005 with the PRC.
