Pro forma for the closing of the sale of acreage in the southern portion of Hawk Springs, Samson’s operated position in the play is approximately 16,300 net acres.
Samson actually have a net acreage position (100%) of about 17.000 acres. The split from Mountain Petroleum is history and Samson bought about 1000 acres in the recent Wyoming lease sale.
As an early mover into the play, Samson’s average royalty burdens are favorable. The company’s average royalty on its operated acreage is 12.5%, while more recent entrants are currently paying a royalty of up to
16.7% on state and fee leases.
Royalty Niobrara ORRI - - - $56.3M - - - $0.68
Cash (pro forma) most likely $84.9M - - - $1.02
Land deal transaction equates to $1.70 PPS
However you want to value that $1.70 per share is up to the stockholder as to how you value the company.
A shareholder with more anticipation as to how the company will turn around that value would tend to take the money early and drive the Price/Earnings ratio high. With that said its worth $141M.
I personally like to spread that value over 10 years saying Samson would realize $0.17 per year for 10 years or 10 * $0.17 = $1.70. . These values are pure earnings cash & cash so $0.17 per year for 10 years applying Price/Earnings ratio for a profitable company of average favorability equates to $5.10 ($0.17 * 30).
Tomorrow September 7th, transaction is worth $5.10 (Land deal applied to current operations).
Sentiment : Strong Buy

這是很保守的估計After Land Deal（以十年的價值計）。
要是跟著 EnerCom’s The Oil and Gas Conference 的 Presentation 估計還不止這價錢。
