Type | Announcement | Subject | OTHERS | Description | HARN LEN CORPORATION BERHAD ("Harnlen" or "the Company")PROPOSED DISPOSAL OF ESTATES IN PAHANG | With reference to the news article published in The Edge (Weekly) today (4 March 2019) titled "Harn Len disposes of estates in Peninsular Malaysia”, the Board of Directors of Harnlen wishes to announce that Harnlen is considering disposing off its estates located in Pahang together with an oil mill through an open tender to be handled by an authorised property agent namely, PA INTERNATIONAL REAL ESTATES (JB) SDN BHD (PA). Pursuant thereto, the property agent had advertised in The Star on 2 February and 18 February, 2019 and in The Edge on 11 February, 2019, 18 February, 2019 and 25 February, 2019 to invite interested bidders for the tender.
Further details of the proposed disposal will be announced upon execution of a formal sale and purchase agreement, if required.
The gross proceeds from the proposed disposal is expected to be utilised to bring down short-term bank borrowings and trade payables, strengthen the Company’s cash flow position, fund the expansion of its core (plantation) business and to acquire the right assets when the opportunity arises. The excess cash will enable the Company to execute a dividend policy once it is ready.

In compliance with Paragraph 9.19 (35) of the Main Market Listing Requirements of Bursa Securities, the Board wishes to inform that there is a deviation of more than 10% between the Group’s total comprehensive profit for the period as stated in Q4FY2019 announced on 27 February 2020 and Audited Financial Statements for the Financial Year ended 31 December 2019 (“AFS 2019”). The deviation is reconciled as attached.
