Attractive units snapped up fast
OSK Properties Bhd has sold 40% of its 481 units of landed property at its Bandar Puteri Jaya & Hill Park (BPJHP) project in Sungai Petani, barely a month after its launch. Its northern region head Paul Tan said the brisk sales of the units, comprising single-storey terraced, single-storey semi-detached, and double-storey semi-detached houses, were due to the attractive pricing ranging from RM150,000 to RM500,000. “Most of the buyers are from Sungai Petani and Penang, as it is impossible to find landed property of such prices in Penang. “We are aiming to achieve complete sales by July,” he said in an interview.
To add value to the scheme, OSK Properties plans to develop a large shopping mall in BPJHP on a 28-acre site. “The mall will largely be a tenant-control type, although some of the units will be for sale. “We expect the value of the property in BPJHP to rise further after the completion of the mall at the end of 2014,” he said. Tan added that the development of the mall would start end this year. Within the gated and guarded housing enclave, there are landscaped gardens, a recreational park, a barbeque corner, a playground and a football field. The integrated four-tier security system features a close-circuit television system at the guardhouse, seven-foot high perimeter wall and access card entry. “The single-storey semi-detached homes, priced from RM280,000, have four bedrooms and a built-up area of 2,550sq ft. “The double-storey semi-detached homes, costing RM380,000 onwards, have five bedrooms and are 3,400sq ft,” Tan said. “Smaller families can look at the single- storey and double-storey terraced units which are priced between RM150,000 and RM250,000. “The single-storey (133 units) and the double-storey houses (116 units) have a gross built-up of 1,274sq ft while the double-storey linked units are 2,263sq ft. “The interior, which is equipped with quality finishes, is designed with high ceilings that allow natural lighting and better ventilation in the homes,” he said. The show houses for the new launches can be previewed at the OSK Properties’ Chinese New Year Open House on Saturday at the Taipan Bazaar in BPJHP. Visitors can enjoy exciting activities like yee sang tossing, 24 seasons drums and lion dance performances as well as the buy-and-win 2012/3 draw. “Those who register on Saturday will be entitled to special ang pow rebates from RM10,888 to RM18,888. “There will also be a lucky draw that offers Proton Exora and Proton Preve as the grand prizes,” he said. Next year, OSK Properties plans to introduce more gated and guarded landed property for the BPJHP project. BPJHP, which sits on a 2,500-acre site in the eastern part of Sungai Petani, was launched in 1999. To date, OSK Properties has developed and sold over 7,000 landed units.
