美国偶像24位初赛胜出选手接受问卷调查，询问他们最喜欢的歌手，Stevie Wonder以被提及14次为最受欢迎的男歌手，MC以被提及8次为最受欢迎女歌手。
The questionnaires filled out by the 24 semifinalists over on the official American Idol site show Mariah Carey as the most popular female role model. Here are the standings:
Male singer: Stevie Wonder wins in a landslide, named by 14 contestants. Nice testatment to his continuing high reputation. Justin Timberlake comes in second with eight mentions, followed closely by the still-influential Michael Jackson (seven). Others mentioned more than once were John Legend, Maroon 5, Jason Mraz, U2, Sting, Prince, Eric Benet, Freddy Mercury, James Brown, Paul McCartney and Donny Hathaway.
Female singer: No runaway winner, but Mariah Carey wins with eight mentions, followed by Christina Aguilera with six, Beyonce with five and Sheryl Crow with four. Others with more than one mention: Corinne Bailey Rae, Kelly Clarkson, Lauryn Hill, Bjork (interesting), Imogen Heap (likewise), Ella Fitzgerald (impressive), Sade, Whitney Houston, Fiona Apple, Alicia Keys and Aretha Franklin. |
