那天得罪了我的直属上司,就因为我send了一个email给我公司的ceo,内容是这样的:
Hi,
I’m glad and happy that Scope is promoting this “Go Green” program that I think it’s really care about our environment and future.
But, I have a doubt that why we are not switching the air-condition to a higher temperature? I means such as 20 – 24 Celsius degree. What I find out is that In Crystal Plaza, the 1st floor’s phase II and phase III is so cold and make almost everyone of us freezing. Most of us prepare thick jacket to work, but we still can’t really stand the cold.
As you know, air-condition use very high power supply. It operates almost everyday and more than 8 hours a day. For the calculation, if we compare this to the current plan to save power from switching off the lights, air-condition take a far more contribution to the electricity usage.
Furthermore, switching the air-condition to such low temperature contribute a lots to the Greenhouse effect (Global warming). As the air-cond lower down the temperature for inner, it’ll higher up the temperature for outer.
Thus, in a biological side, we know that lower temperature will make human to be inactive, whether is physically or mentally. This also affects our working efficiency and our productivity.
So, after I consider this problem and discussed with some manager in my department, I suggest that we do an investigation on the air-conditional system for Crystal Plaza level 1. Because they state a fact that we have a centralize air-conditional system and they can’t control the temperature for different phases in the same level, it this really a fact or some thing wrong with our air-conditional system?
If the fact is because of the centralize air- conditional system is not so efficiencies for power saving, can we change the air conditional system to a more efficiencies one?
On the other hand, if the fact is the air-conditional system is having so problem some where, I think that we should fix it and not to like “let it be”.
Thanks for your concern, and sorry to disturb you and use your time for such problems |
