WHY DO PEOPLE THINK THAT BANKING IS NOT RELIGIOUS
WHEN WE HAVE
ISLAMIC BANKING BASED ON ISLAM AND
WESTERN BANKING BASED ON JUDAISM, CATHOLICISM AND PROTESTANTISM ??
The Banking system is in a mess yet the people have been loyal customers .
Whose fault is it -the banks or the people ?
Well when you look at the Banking system it has strong connections to the
Catholic Church History of Secrecy apart from the
Protestant Love for Interest and
Islamic Religious Segregation
(which is how Islamic Banking gets interest when they claim to be non interest banking institutes).
In the Old Testament, Banking was not secretive , at least Public Banking , but also private .
For example , if you committed the sin of rape ( a sin is a debt) , you were to pay a hefty dowry to the father of the girl whom you raped . Now everyone will know you have committed rape since the amount was known by all.
In the case of Achan , secret wealth was taboo and Achan who stole gold and silver and kept it for himself was killed for being secretive about his theft.
The Temple in Jerusalem was the Central Bank where people gave all amounts requeired by them.The Temple was :
1.The Revenue Authority-collected taxes and tithes
2.The Central Bank—issued the temple shekel /shilling
3.The Sanctuary— place of worship
Now when the temple was destroyed and Christianity flourished despite persecution the church got tired of dying for Christ and so hey married the State through Constantine the Roman emperor who bridged the church back to the state like Ancient Israel.
The Catholic Church was born . She quickly built temples called basillicas and cathedrals.
What was interesting was the doctrine of Confession.This is where people would confess their sins to the priest and the priest was duty bound not to reveal the secrets.
To some Protestants, this is the doctrine that has made the Catholic Church rotten to the core.It is that sin is condoned when it is hidden.
Yet God has secrets and he reveals them to those he loves .So why not have secrets with your fellow man.
Well the difference between Catholic Secret Keeping and God’s secret Keeping is that :
1.God knows your heart, the priest does not know it fully
2.God says in his word he gives his secrets to those he loves , the priest never tells you his secrets
Whereas people credit Protestants for legalizing Banker’s Interest ,
I believe the Catholic Church should be credited for creating
Banking Secrecy or legalizing Secret Agreements.
This Catholic Doctrine solidified the foundation of all secret organizations.
The Number 2 is the number of trust.
Meanwhile Islamic Banking charges no interest but secretly get interest

Thus banks have employed this secrecy doctrine and keep the secrets of dictators,
prostitutes and drug barons and workers and pastors .
The uestion is ,should we know the secrets of those we confide in ?
To con fide comes from the Latin word fide , which means faith which is trust.
Should we know what the banks are doing with our money ?
Well once you have signed with them they can do whatever t
hey want with your money provided when you ask them for it they will give it to you.
I believe the banks have abused that secret trust.
If all people of the world who have bank accounts would go and withdraw money
from the accounts , they will hear the banks quickly saying that
you can only take a certain amount …why ??
They do not have your money, hence broke the trust.
This is what has happened with the world economies,
whether Western of Islamic - a case of broken trust ..
the banks were failing but they did not tell us and we trusted
that they are doing a good job and we gave them our details.
