Description:        Founded by Huzir Sulaiman in January 1996, Straits Theatre Company aims to stage productions that concentrate on a very high standard of acting and writing. Having repeatedly set and broken records in Kuala Lumpur for the longest running productions, Straits Theatre Company has enjoyed great critical and popular success. Branching out from theatre the company has recently been contracted to host an evening prime time radio show and ahs been engaged to create and produce innovative television commercials. Description:        Kuali Works, an all women arts company focussing on theatre,television and publications was formed in 1994 by Karen Quah, Ann Lee, Anita Zafina Mat Fadil, Goh Soon Siew and Shahimah Idris. It plans are to produce original Malaysian-based work, adn to educate and train mroe women in new technologies related to production.

The Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre

The Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (PentasSeni KL) is fast becoming the hub for the performing arts community, fostering creative excellence through the development and nurturing of performing arts culture.

A not-for-profit organisation, KLPac is designed to meet the needs of an ever more demanding and diverse performing arts scene in Malaysia.  Located in the midst of parkland and lakes in Sentul Park, KLPac is located only 10 minutes from a railway station and 20 minutes by car from the city centre.

KLPac comprises a 504 seat proscenium theatre, a 200 seat experimental black box, an indicine for independent film makers; an onsite set construction workshop, an academy with 10 studios, and much more.

KLPac collaborates with companies from around the world on a regular basis.  We also work closely with organisations such as the British Council, The Japan Foundation and the cultural sections of many foreign missions to bring overseas productions to the Malaysian stage.

成立于2000年7月21日，NOISE是個新生，卻有不凡成就的劇團。憑著成立以來的四場演出，NOISE劇團獲得了觀眾們的佳評及認同，并奠定了它在檳島藝術界中的地位。NOISE 是由一群熱愛表演藝術的青年們，在創辦人王涵奕的帶領下成立的。如今，NOISE這一個大家庭已由當初的一小撮人，增加到60名會員左右。团中匯集了在演藝，劇本創作，舞台經營及各方面有天份的年輕人。這五年的旅途中，NOISE一直都堅持著它的宗旨：在推廣藝術文化的當兒，也要不斷地創新，不斷地改革。這一點，可以從它過去演出中看到。在2001年的《鬼藏》之中，NOISE大膽地模仿了獨特、沉穩的日本古裝舞台劇。而在來年的《非常愛情》之中，NOISE卻破天荒地扭曲了中國的文學巨作──《梁祝》，使之變成了博得哄堂大笑的鬧劇。2003年受邀于杨忠礼艺术节中，制作与AMU联合呈献的两百人大型音乐舞台劇 《曙光》。這些，都反映出了NOISE“能人所不能，為人所不敢為”的勇氣。再加上精密的策劃及巧妙的運用，這些有創意的新點子不但沒成為觀眾不能消化的另類表演，成功地開擴了觀眾的視野。去年，NOISE 再次受邀于杨忠礼艺术节中制作舞台劇－《Paradise》，并于檳城及吉隆坡两地演出共8场。过后亦凭该剧荣获“第4届戲炬奖”年度最佳戲劇、最佳導演、最佳原创劇本、最佳舞台设计等6项大奖。

基本简介                ：

青年艺术剧团是由青运艺术剧团的班底申请注册，并于1988年由当时青艺顾问，现任槟州首席部长许子根博士的见证下正式成立，是当时槟州唯一不符属任何团体的独立戏剧团体。

1980年，青运槟州分会文化局开办第一届“表演艺术训练班”，由来自太平的戏剧工作者马弗蓝先生负责教学，该届训练班学员在年尾结业后组成青运戏剧组，附属在青运槟州分会。该届训练班尚有学员活动至今共21年，还积极参与推动槟州剧运，精神与热诚无可置疑。

较后由于成员不断增加，组织陈容日益广大，在当时州分会的允准下，戏剧组逐易名为青运艺术戏剧团（简称青艺）。直至1987年，青艺认为时机成熟， 故以青艺当时之理事成立了筹委会，正式向社团注册局申请注册。为了延续青艺的戏剧使命，定名为青年艺术剧团，同样简称为青艺，接纳当年所有的青运艺术剧团团员为青年艺术剧团之创始团员，继续贯彻青艺的宗旨：发扬戏剧艺术，培养戏剧工作者，提升观众之鉴赏水平。

青艺的例常活动可归为以下几类：
A.        招募会员，提供戏剧训练。
B.        呈献各类型戏剧公演。
C.        发扬其他相关表演艺术。

训练工作
青艺前后共开办10届的演艺训练班，所学习内容包括表演，舞台技术，文学，语言表达，其他艺术修养等，统计起来约有两百名学员曾经接受类似训练，而后参与演出，实践彼等所学，并从演出中吸取课程所没有之经验。由于师资经费及会员本身条件之局限，训练班的水平仍停留在基础入门的阶段，至于进一步较深入的知识就有靠学员本身自发自觉地去进修了。
这些为期三至六个月的速成训练，固然不够正规训练的充实和全面，不过对于许多戏剧门外汉，它却具备了启蒙之作用。尽管如此，青艺一直期望有朝一日能突破这个局限，为会员提供一个较完整和细致的训练，俾提升会员的素质。唯这方面有待学有专长及资深的演艺界人才的支持和协助。

相关艺术
除了戏剧的排演，青艺亦积极地推动其他表演相关之艺术活动，如：相声，诗歌，朗诵等之学习与排演。

为了推动雅俗共赏之民间说唱艺术“相声”，青艺毅然主办了多次的相声讲座，让团员与观众认识与接触这笑的艺术。青艺并于多年前主办了“中国十一大笑星”的演出，让槟州观众有机会一睹中国国宝级相声演员马季与赵炎的风采，让更多人喜欢与相声结缘。

除此之外，青艺团员亦积极排练了多个相声脚本，应邀到各个不同场合表演，藉以推广相声活动。

除了相声，诗歌朗诵亦是团员们学习语言表达中一个重要的部分，为了让团员有机会实践课程所学，青艺也常接受邀请，派团员参与各个场合的诗歌朗诵表演。并于1986年4月包办了整个由槟华堂主办的“马华新诗朗诵读演唱会”中所有的朗诵节目。

以上就是青年艺术剧团在过去25年来的努力与奋斗。团员们不断求进与积极努力，热心戏剧活动的各界人士的不断鼎力支持和一般爱好剧运的朋友们给予的多方囊助，都是使青年艺术剧团继续成长的因素。青苗毕竟需要不断的灌溉和培养。社会人士不断的持助，依然是深切期望的，也将会是青年艺术剧团成员们心中的“永恒的鼓舞“。

Pertubuhan Seni Drama Belia Pulau Pinang or Qing Nian Yi Shu Ju Tuan in Chinese (Qing Yi in short) is the first independent Chinese drama group and a non-profitable organization established in Penang in 1988.

With the mission to develop and enhance the performing art in Penang, Qing Yi has provided an opportunity for all drama-lovers to participate in its Acting Training class. The training class usually lasts for three to six months. Basic training provided in the class includes performing, linguistic, phonetics, ethnology, body movement, and stage technique. To date, more than 200 members have attended and benefited from this training.

Besides performing, Qing Yi has also organized and participated in various comic dialogue competitions, poetry readings, and recitals.

Over the past 25 years, the multi-talented Qing Yi members have presented to Penang audience a numerous well-known plays adapted from the world acclaimed playwrights such as Authur Miller’s The Death of a Salesman (USA) in 1996, Du Guo Wei’s Tales from Dark Side  (Hong Kong) in 1999, Guo Bao Kun’s The Ninth (Singapore), Gustav Wied’s Autumn Flames (Denmark), Serafin and Joaquin Alvarez Quintero’s A Sunny Morning (Spain), and Lajos Biro’s Grandmother (Hungary) in 2000. Qing Yi members even traveled to other places in Malaysia such as Alor Setar, Bukit Mertajam, Ipoh, and Kuala Lumpur to perform some of the plays as well.

由一群醉心表演艺术的在籍中学生所成立。秉持着发扬剧运的精神，付出予本地的剧场活动，造心厂从成立以来，发表了近50部演出。从创团时候的“太阳之死”、1995年与槟城爱滋病社区服务中心合作大型舞台剧“净土”、2002年槟城最具规模的文化活动 - 杨忠礼艺术节，首开先河主办街头儿童剧“爱情巷先生的秘密”，造心厂奠定了朝向多元化演出方式与风格的决心。

2003年，造心厂成为首都Five Arts Centre传统鼓乐演奏会的指定合作单位，同年代表槟城参加大马文化旅游局主办的“2003大马戏剧节”；2004年飞出国土，受邀代表马来西亚到英国参予英国曼彻斯特Contact剧院与英国文化协会表演艺术部所联办的“联系未来计划之一 - 联系世界2004”，同时更与槟城艺术协会联合主办来自香港的诗歌舞台剧 - “第一页梦歌”。

2005年，造心厂首次搭起戏剧与现代舞的桥梁，透过戏剧与现代舞呈献“三人床”。

戏剧是剧种；舞台剧在舞台上表演的剧。

换句话说，戏剧也可以是电视剧，所谓的戏剧就是有戏味的剧。
举例：文艺剧就是戏剧的一种。

舞台剧大致有分抽象剧（肢体剧）、写实剧（戏剧、喜剧、闹剧、京剧等等等）。

结果我找了很久。。才发现到做这话题一点都不简单资料可以说是少之又少。。连维基百科都没有舞台剧诠释。。因为我是对舞台剧一点认识都没的--笨蛋！哈哈！:

有关历史背景，在马的情况。。。。
