擒杀皇马贝纳永征服KOP 荣膺利物浦2月最佳球员

英国当地时间本周一（2009-03-09日），利物浦官方网站宣布，在由球迷参与的09年2月最佳球员的评选中，以色列中场贝纳永高票当选。

在2月，利物浦一共参加了6场比赛，取得了3胜1平2负的成绩。而由于杰拉德的受伤，贝纳永这个月得到了3次首发、3次替补的出场机会。在2月25日欧冠1/8决赛首回合客场1-0力擒皇马的比赛中，首发出场的贝纳永头球打入制胜球。

而这样一粒价值连城的进球也让贝纳永深深征服了球迷的心。在利物浦官网组织的09年2月最佳球员的评选中，贝纳永以48%的得票率当选，排名第二和第三的分别是托雷斯和阿隆索，这也是贝纳永本赛季首次当选红军官方月度最佳球员。

The Liverpool midfielder, who had been out with an hamstring injury in recent weeks, started in Saturday's 1-1 draw against Greece at National Stadium in Ramat Gan, but was forced to leave the pitch in the 77th minute after pulling a muscle in his leg.

However, despite his injuries and not training on Sunday, coach Dror Kashtan is optimistic his captain will be fit for Wednesday's match.

"I'm one million percent certain I should have played," Benayoun said after hobbling out of Saturday's match.

"With the way the match developed I was happy to settle for a draw. We didn't look very good in the first half, but we fought back. If we would have started the match the way we ended it we would have won."

A loss at Greece on Wednesday will be a fatal blow to Israel's hopes of qualifying for a first World Cup in 40 years, but Benayoun is hopeful the team can keep its campaign alive in Crete.

"I really hope we win in Greece," he said. "But in a certain situation a draw will also be a pretty good result."

Theofanis Gekas, who scored the Greeks' opener in Ramat Gan, which was canceled out in the second half by Omer Golan, was disappointed after Saturday's match.

"We could have done better," he said. "This is a good result, but not a fair one. We had a chance to win, but made mistakes.

"We're now concentrating on winning on Wednesday. The group is close and we need the three points."

Israel's best player on Saturday, Ben Sahar, said he believes the national team can ruin the Greeks plans.

"We missed a chance to claim a win at home," Sahar said. "But we have another chance to take three points on Wednesday and we can do it."



Israel's Under-21 national team suffered a setback in its qualifying campaign for the 2011 European Championships on Sunday after being held to a disappointing 1-1 draw by Kazakhstan at Kiryat Eliezer Stadium in Haifa.

Maor Buzaglo gave Israel the lead in the 44th minute, but despite going down to 10-men in the 47th minute, Kazakhstan equalized 15 minutes later through Ruslan Kenetaev and held on for the draw.

Israel faces Bulgaria on June 10 in its next qualifier in Group 6, which also includes Sweden and Montenegro.

Benayoun was carried off with a calf problem during Israel's 1-1 drawwith Greece while Hyypia injured his knee helping Finland to a 2-0victory in Wales. Benayoun has remained with his Israeli teammates ahead of theirWorld Cup qualifier on Wednesday night, but Hyypia has returned toMelwood for treatment ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash atFulham. "Yossi has a problem with cramps in his calf and he is in contactwith our doctor and physios," manager Rafael Benitez said today. "We will see how he is for the next game but he has to be careful.He will stay with Israel for their next match and we will keep an eyeon him. "Sami has a problem with his knee. The feedback we have is that it isn't serious but he won't train for a couple of days. "I was talking with Sami yesterday and he was telling me he will beready for the next game. He has already started working very hard to befit again. "It was a good decision by the Finland national team to let Samicome back to us. They were very sensible and he is now working with ourphysios."

其实海皮亚只是替补，贝纳永也并非绝对主力，贝尼特斯真正担心的是其他诸如托雷斯、杰拉德等绝对主力接连参加国家队比赛而磨损的体力，相比起国脚不多的富勒姆，红军受到的影响显然更大，而且主力后腰、阿根廷队长马斯切拉诺还要在周四客场激战玻利维亚后，坐14个小时飞机才能回到英国，届时距离富勒姆的比赛可能已经不到24个小时。
