依 。。。?还蛮不错的构思呢 。。。如果真的行得通的话。 UKM好像也蛮出名在solar能源的研究呢。
University of California就有用到太阳能(photovoltaic)来pumping livestock water。。。
国大可要好好加油哦。。。
也希望明年我可以参与这个Project...

Monash campus is showcase for solar energy project(27 December 2007)
Monash University's new campus in Bandar Sunway has the distinction ofbeing a model building for Malaysia's Building Integrated Photovoltaic(BIPV) programme aimed at showcasing the concept of incorporatingphotovoltaic systems into a building during the construction phase.
MalaysiaEnergy Centre's National Project Leader for the effort, Mr Ahmad HadriHaris said the project to install photovoltaic systems onto the roof ofa bridge linking two of the campus' buildings was aimed atdemonstrating that it was possible to incorporate such technology intoa building without affecting its architecture.
"As we cansee from this project, solar panels can be incorporated into designswithout affecting their facade or affecting their architecture," hesaid during a recent visit to Monash University.
He saidthe project, implemented by the Malaysia Energy Centre in collaborationwith Sunway Construction Berhad, was made possible through funding bythe Global Environment Facility via the United Nations DevelopmentProgramme.
Sunway Construction Berhad, which was thebuilder of the new Monash University campus, was keen to work with theMalaysia Energy Centre.
He said the solar panelsinstalled at Monash University are of the thin-film type, which aretypically more efficient in the local environment.
"Thelayout of the panels has been optimised for the bridge and it featurestwo inverters to cater for the shaded and open areas. It is a showcaseproject in Malaysia as it is the only building in Malaysia to havethis."
The equipment used for the system was purchasedoff the shelf. The panels have a life-span of about 20 years, withminimal deterioration of their power output.
The solar panels are able to generate about 7.36kW of energy, sufficient to power about six air-conditioners.
MonashUniversity lecturer Dr Shen Weixiang said the project could also beused to support future research into photovoltaic systems being carriedout on campus.
“With growing concerning about globewarming and energy conservation, the research in PV technology isaccelerated,” said Dr Shen, whose areas of research on PV systemsfocuses on standalone PV systems which are widely applied in the remoteareas, such as some areas in Sabah and Sarawak, where national powergrid can not be accessed.
“The PV technology is one ofrenewable energy technologies which can support the development of oursociety in the sustainable way. Since solar cell is expensive instandalone PV systems, minimizing the size of solar cells is crucial toreduce the system cost.”
Aside from using the BIPV systemto support research on campus, Monash University is also exploring thepossibility of carrying out internship programmes with the MalaysiaEnergy Centre for its engineering students. These internships willprovide students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in workingon solar energy programmes and pick up practical skills to supporttheir education.
