其實steam的概念是好的, 但在下個人不喜歡這種做法, 尤其是沒得讓人選擇就強迫玩家要安裝steam, 線上註冊steam戶口, 遊戲一旦註冊後就不能再用就讓人發火, 為啥在下買了遊戲還要得到你的應許(線上認證--steam)才可以安裝, 而且安裝一次就不能移除再用!
開steam時狀況多多, 有時為了開steam就要重開機三到四次才可以開到steam(不管開online或offline都一樣).
若可以向Game of Windows Live一樣, 安裝好了就按Home就可以註冊一個offline account(不用強迫更新, 不用上線, 除非上網打才需要), 就可以玩單機遊戲...又或者像EA的Battlefield: Bad Company 2 一樣, 玩單機時disk check, 上網打才認證, 選擇權在玩家手上...
再加上在下過去心理有個陰影, 擔心steam這個公司一旦有個萬一的話...那在下買的遊戲不就不如那些盜版的嗎?<---------純粹個人紀人憂天 ,其實steam並不是第一家用這種機制的公司了, 過去有幾家搞這個的公司都破產收工, 連伺服器也關了, 導致一些玩家在他們那裡買的遊戲全部都不能玩了... |

box set绝对没有steam.. 我不是讲过了?

不不, 在下知道沒有steam但它盒子背後的那一行'require online activation' 就是讓人很在意, 而且就算問店員他也不懂, 所以才來這裡問是否有那位大大入手可以告知...
而且在下耳聞此作已久, 早想買來玩玩, 所以才希望弄清楚以免後悔...
(在下無意冒犯喜歡steam的大大, 純粹在下私人不滿steam而已, 請無視前兩樓的言論, 謝謝.) |

There are two versions of the retail boxed version of Torchlight available, the US version and the International version. If your box has ENCORE logo on the bottom of the edge and on the DVD label, then you have the US version. If your box has JOWOOD logo on it and on the DVD label, you have the International version. |

Runic 工作室就这样卖掉了。
Runic Games' indie action RPG Torchlight has sold 500,000 copies at retail and digitally on the PC. It was also recently released for the Mac along with the release of the Mac version of Steam.
Additionally, China-based MMO publisher and developer Perfect World has just announced (via Joystiq) that it has acquired a majority stake in Runic Games for around $8.4 million. Runic is currently working on an MMORPG version of Torchlight, which is slated to be a free-to-play game likely supported by micro-transactions. This is a popular business model in China and should be a successful partnership for both parties.
Perfect World was already lined up as the publisher for the Torchlight MMORPG, which is planned for a worldwide release. It is unclear which entity controls the intellectual property, which could be of specific concern to Runic employees. |
