REVIEW OF PERFORMANCE
The Group's revenue and profit before tax for the current quarter and financial year ended 31 December 2008 increased as compared to the previous corresponding quarter and financial year in 2007.
For the current quarter and financial year ended 31 December 2008, the Group‟s revenue recorded significant increase by 12.5% to RM117.1 million and by 15.8% to RM638.7 million respectively. The increase was mainly due to higher gross premium underwritten.
The Group's profit before tax also increased significantly by 27.6% to RM44.5 million for the current quarter and by 16.3% to RM141.6 million for the financial year ended 31 December 2008. The increase was mainly due to higher underwriting profit. |

倫平資本全年賺1.04億

（吉隆坡）受到普險保單揚升和投資收入增加激勵，倫平資本（LPI,8621,主板金融組）截至2008年12月31日止財政年，淨利從前期8777萬令吉，揚升18.77%至1億零424萬7000令吉。
營業額則取得6億3872萬8000令吉，較前期5億5162萬4000令吉攀升15.79%。
此公司也建議派發55仙終期股息，加上之前派發的30仙中期股息，全年股息達85仙。
此公司主席丹斯里鄭鴻標透露，公司稅前盈利連續第四年突破1億令吉水平，主要是子公司倫平保險亮眼表現，淨保費收入揚升12.3%至3億7630萬令吉。
同時，儘管投資環境險竣，但該公司還是取得良好的投資收入，普險業務驕人，反映該公司保單和投資策略的效益。

Good investment income boosts LPI Capital profit

PETALING JAYA: General insurer LPI Capital Bhd’s net profit surged close to 30% year-on-year to RM32.7mil for the fourth quarter ended Dec 31, 2008.
Revenue rose 12% to RM117.1mil while earnings per share (EPS) increased from 18.31 sen a year ago to 23.75 sen.
For the year ended Dec 31, 2008 (FY08), net profit jumped almost 19% to RM104.2mil from RM87.8mil in FY07. This was attributed to better underwriting results and good investment income.
The group achieved a 16% improvement in revenue to RM638.7mil from the previous year’s RM551.6mil. EPS for FY08 improved to 75.72 sen against 63.75 sen previously.
LPI has proposed a final dividend of 55 sen, which would bring the total gross dividend for FY08 to 85 sen. Based on yesterday’s closing price of RM9.80, this translates into a yield of 8.7%.
In a statement, chairman Tan Sri Teh Hong Piow said its wholly-owned subsidiary, Lonpac Insurance Bhd, achieved a growth of 12% in net premium income to RM376.3mil in FY08 against RM335.2mil in FY07 while underwriting surplus stood at RM75mil.
Solvency margin surplus remained at a healthy level of RM103.8mil while capital adequacy ratio was more than sufficient at 181%.
An analyst with a local brokerage said the group was anticipated to at least maintain the FY08 performance this year, backed by the prudent management team, balanced portfolio mix and good accounting practices.
While the insurance business in general moves in tandem with the economic growth rate, Lonpac’s is anticipated to remain resilient due to its diversified portfolio. |

第四季，接近30% 的净利成长，我认为实属难得。
因为最后一个季度的汽车销量已经萎缩，车险的收入应该减少。
海运的保费也应该随着全球贸易锐减的情况，收入不好。
所以，LPI 可以获得净利增长，如果不是郑宏标的公司，我会怀疑它做假账了。 |

（吉隆坡9日讯）尽管现有经济低迷时期，惟伦平（LPI，8621，主板金融股）2008财年业绩维持乐观，在提供更高的价值，加上长期增长前景下，分析员建议“买入”评级。
侨丰研究指出，伦平2008财年净利取得18.3％按年增长，符合分析员预测。
鉴于其强劲的基本面，以及长期增长前景，因而继续成为分析员钟爱股项。分析员维持其“买入”建议，目标价格为13.3令吉。
伦平在2008财年宣布每股85仙的毛股利，尽管较低于2007财年的110仙，但依然维持85％股息派发率以及9.2％毛每股股利的吸引水平。
分析员下修该股2009财年的每股股利，预测将为85仙。
侨丰研究披露，基于汽车保险领域的索赔率在2007年攀高至80.9％，预计伦平并无备用较高的以外保险索赔成本，因此导致该公司该季度的承保盈余下滑。
尽管如此，该公司只持有车险领域2.9％的市占率。此外，该公司努力将其汽险索赔率保持在61.3％，较低于该领域水平。 |

帮帮忙。请问。LPI ０７年派股息１１０SEN还高过EPS。请问钱从那里来？还有LPI拿到PBBANK的股息有算入LPI的EPS吗？我的英文不好看不懂年报还是新人。只会看简单的。EPS ，DY ，PE ，而已 。  |

1）这间公司能够给我稳定的DY，所以作为我投资组合的Foundation / Base非常重要。
2）Business Model够简单，因为公司的确不需要有太多的开销，而超强的Under-writing和Re-investment能力，就足以把大部份赚到的钱退会给股东。
除了标叔。。马来西亚应该很少有这一种超级蓝筹股了吧. |
