Umm Al Quwain Marina breaks ground for first phase of residences  

Umm Al Quwain, UAE, July 19, 2007: Umm Al Quwain Marina LLC, the joint venture between the government of Umm Al Quwain and Emaar Middle East, has broken ground for the first phase of residences with the AED 12 billion (US$3.3 billion) Umm Al Quwain Marina development located by the scenic Khor Al Beidah natural lagoon.

Mr Ahmad Al Matrooshi, UAE Managing Director, Emaar Properties and Member of the Board of Directors of Emaar Middle East, and other dignitaries attended the ground-breaking ceremony.

Mr Al Matrooshi said: “Umm Al Quwain Marina is the pioneering master-planned community in the emirate creating a new benchmark in lifestyle property development. We are thankful to the government of Umm Al Quwain for their continuous support in executing this project. Umm Al Quwain Marina will support the governmental initiatives in establishing a new direction of growth for the property sector.”

The Mistral community, the first phase of homes at Umm Al Quwain Marina, comprises single-family detached villa homes ranging in size from 3,458 to 4,311 sq ft. Amenities include schools, supermarkets, mosques and community centres set amidst landscaped gardens and pedestrian pathways that lead to an open beach and town centre. Residents can also access a range of Marina-based activities.

Mr Al Matrooshi added: “The Mistral homes, launched earlier this year, have attracted positive sales response. The proximity of the villas to the Marina and the various lifestyle amenities available for residents make Umm Al Quwain Marina a true value proposition for investors.”

Emaar Middle East has selected a team of industry leaders to spearhead each major development area of this first phase: global architectural firm HOK have master planned the development, Al Wasl Al Jadeed serve as lead consultant and Arabtec as the main contractor for the Mistral villas. The 2,000-acre Umm Al Quwain Marina development, which features 23 km of waterfront and 450 acres of navigable water, will also include town homes, boutique villas, retail outlets and recreational facilities.

The Umm Al Quwain Marina Sales Centre is conveniently located onsite and just off the coastal Dubai-Umm Al Quwain highway. The centre is open from 9am to 6pm during the week and from 10am to 6pm on Fridays. lcl有装修过医院吗??我听说医院不用什么装修的。。。。。
不过会议室等一些重要地方就需要装修,应该会给lcl小小的project loh
希望吧。。。。。。

好,这就是lcl装修的功力。demo unit做的好 相信有很多中东佬因为demo unit上车。
难怪会找lcl。看来这对lcl装修的功力的信誉又进了一层。以后就更容易接project。

不知道为什么每次读lcl都会想到ici。哈哈哈

可能是坏消息吧!听说GOLDMAN SACHS 在美股大量抛售!不知会不会大量抛售亚州的股呢?


美股【鉅亨網編譯郭照青/綜合紐約外電.8月9日】 美國股市於下午交易中擴大跌幅,道瓊工業指數下 挫逾200點。信貸市場的擔憂再度撼動了市場。

報導指出,Goldman Sachs旗下幾檔避險基金有大量 平倉賣壓,股市跌幅隨即擴大。

今日股市開盤便已壓力重重,消息指出法國BNP Paribas銀行凍結了因信貸問題嚴重受創的基金,使得擔 憂急劇升高。

分析師說,次級房貸問題已波及全球,且已不再侷 限於小型銀行或小型抵押貸款機構。

Inflow of oil money

PETALING JAYA: Malaysian companies, especially infrastructure builders,are appealing to Middle Eastern investment funds, which are scoutingfor business opportunities to grow their oil money.  
The Government’s initiatives to develop special zones such as theIskandar Development Region and Northern Corridor, have attractedforeign interest in the country.  
Buying into the local companies is probably a fast and easy way for the foreign investors to participate in the developments.
The proposed acquisition of a 50.6% stake in Putrajaya Perdana Bhd by aconsortium comprising Middle Eastern, Malaysian and Singaporeaninvestors is evidence of that. StarBiz learns that more acquisition deals would be announced soon in the construction and property sectors.  
LCL Corp Bhd is currently in talks with a few Middle Eastern investmentgroups that have shown interest in the interior fit-out company.
“We are not rushing to close the deal yet. Negotiations are still on going as there is no concrete decision yet.  
“We will try to get the best deal,'' said managing director Low Chin Meng, who is cherry picking now.
Low noted that Malaysia was a new destination for the Middle Easterninvestors to outsource their jobs to, including infrastructureconstruction and manufacturing. Those jobs previously went to Westerncountries.  
“They are comfortable with Malaysian companies, mainly because we are trustworthy and reliable.
                        
“And we can deliver equivalent quality at cheaper costs compared to the Western countries,” he said.  
Being an Islamic country, Malaysia is seen having common political and ideological philosophy with the Middle Eastern people.
Furthermore, Malaysian companies have managed to acquire the expertise and talents in their respective industries.  
Industry observers say Malaysians still had a cost advantage on skilledlabour, including specialty labour, although the country is no longercompetitive as a low-cost manufacturing base compared with China andVietnam. Crude oil prices, which have soared above US$70 from belowUS$25 five years ago, have been pouring into the coffers of countriesin the Middle East.  
Abu Dhabi Investment Agency  alone has investment assets exceeding US$500bil.  
The agency is jointly owned by Abu Dhabi Investment Council and the National Bank of Abu Dhabi.
Petrol dollars, which used to flow into Western nations, are now making their way to Asia.
“Many investment funds from the Middle East, including Kazakhstan, areinterested in construction firms in Asia. Malaysian companies have theexpertise and skills that they can leverage on to secure projects backhome,” said Riche Capitale investment consultant Richard Chua.  
Malaysian companies in which Middle Eastern funds are invested would betheir vehicles to ride on the construction boom in the Gulf, he told StarBiz.
Chua, who is travelling across the region for advisory jobs, said theinterest of Middle Eastern funds was not confined to construction.  
“They are also keen on industries that are well developed here, such asglove manufacturing, building materials and logistics,” he added.
WCT Engineering Bhd executive director Loh Siew Choh concurred that Middle Eastern investors were always open to investments.  
In fact, foreign shareholding in the company had increased to 25% from 9% about nine months ago, he said.
“This is probably the result of the recent roadshows we have been embarking on to expose the company to investors,” he added.
Loh also said one of WCT’s strengths in securing construction projectsin the Middle East was its solid track record, having successfullycompleted projects such as the Bahrain F1 Circuit.
