Trial ride Ideal Property CFAL TriState 30th Nov 2014
50 riders started off from autocity heading towards Kulim town...the first 30 Km was rough with lots of vehicles, junctions and traffic lights. Road condition is also bad pebbled with potholes and dislike the way motorists weaved in and out. Once out of Kulim town at about 25th km the road and traffic improves. ( there is a big pothole near a manhole at 11.8 km)
We were able to clock up speed before the first main waterstation/ regrouping point at 50th km. The road is generally flat except for some undulations and a gradual climb at 35th and 45th km.
We should have a 20 minute rest and regroup before heading out again. At this stop i would advise you to buy some chocolates or compact nutritious food if you are not having any already.
The next subwater station 28 Km away at 78th Km point will be a touch and go point at a perhutanan office vicinity. .. there is no regrouping here.. u are supposed to replenish your drinks and move on as it will start to get hot ( PLEASE DO NOT WASH YR FACE OR TO SHOWER YOURSELF WITH THE DRINKING WATER. THERE ARE STILL A LOT OF CYCLISTS BEHIND YOU)
From here to the next main waterstation at 17 km away ie 95th km point is the Kulim Hi Tech Infineon sponsored water station. We will stop here for 20 minutes. We are still negotiating for a bomba shower here so that u could cool down for the final assault to the finishing point which is about
34 Km away...i assure you this will be the toughest part... tired. .sunburnt. ... hungry. .. thirsty... and worse of all yesterday we encountered strong headwind pushing us backwards as we struggled forwards.
Our OC has mercifully put up another subwaterstation at Tmn Penanti at 115th Km. You can replenish fluid here from Lp Mtb club mobile trucks. Again the last 20 Km as you are entering town approaching Autocity there will be lots of traffic lights... vehicles and junctions. Overall it is quite a tough ride... i would caution careful riding in the first and last 25 Km.
