Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich willing to spend £100m in the summer - report
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovic is believed to be set to pump £100 million into the club's summer transfer kitty.
The Blues spent about £70m in the January transfer window, with £50m alone allocated to the acquisition of Fernando Torres from Liverpool.
Following a mid-season slump, Chelsea only have an outside chance of retaining their Premier League title this season, as they are currently 12 points behind leaders Manchester United - albeit with two games in hand.
However, they are still going strong in the Champions League, where they have been drawn against United in the quarter-finals.
Now TheNews of the World reports that the club's Russian owner is willing to take the spending on players even further by making £100m available once the curtain comes down on the current season.
Chelsea have in the past been linked with a move for Real Madrid's Kaka, who used to ply his trade under the care of manager Carlo Ancelotti when the pair were at AC Milan
