Zelan CEO denies asking to quit post

ALBERT Chang, the outgoing chief executive officer of engineering group Zelan Bhd, has denied that he requested to leave his post.
In a statement released yesterday, Chang said he was not told by Zelan's board of directors that his services were needed after his contract expires on January 31 2009.
On December 3, MMC CorpBhd, which owns 39 per cent of Zelan, said Zelan's board had allowed Chang's contract to lapse at his request.
MMC was also responding to reports that a shareholder tussle had sidelined Chang, who is the founder of Zelan.
It plans to turn Zelan into a regional engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) power plant contractor.
Zelan has an order book of RM3.5 billion, comprising mostly international power plant and property construction projects.
The company is currently building the RM2.1 billion coal-fired powerplant project in Rembang, Indonesia and carrying out onshore andoffshore works for the RM900 million Shuqaiq power plant project inSaudi Arabia, among others.

Zelan announced a set of poor 3Q results of loss of RM130.8m to bring the 9 months results to a loss RM71.6m or LPS of 14.2 sen. It further said that its full year results are not expected to be in black.

這只股我在3月份用0.780 買入二只,過了两三天却支持不住,開始一直往下跌.....心裡想到就很傷心....沒希望了..因為跌破支持點....還好把持的住...它從跌到0.45後..慢慢又開始反彈回升到我買的點...真的是一只很戲劇化的股....希望今天下午會開始上升.....我就可以賺錢......
