RGB targets selling 1,600 gaming machines this year

GEORGE TOWN: RGB International Bhd expects to sell about 1,500 to 1,600 gaming machines with an approximate value of RM200mil in 2018, compared to 1,200 a year ago.

Group managing director Datuk Chuah Kim Seah told StarBiz after its AGM that the bulk of the sales would go to Vietnam, Philippines, Cambodia and Malaysia.

“We have already received confirmed orders of 1,000 units at about RM130mil so far this year.Last year, we sold 1,200 units worth about RM162mil,” he said.

Of the 1,000 units of confirmed orders, the group has already delivered 679 machines and 25 units of card-shuffling and chip-sorting machines at a value of RM92mil to an integrated resort in Vietnam and another 100 machines to various venues across the region.

RGB has also locked in another 850 gaming machines for its concession and leasing business this year.

“We are supplying 600 of these machines to an integrated resort in the Philippines.

“The remaining 250 are for casinos and clubs in the Philippines.

“They will be installed in the second half of 2018 and will generate a yearly revenue of RM30mil to RM35mil in 2019,” Chuah said.

Chuah added that the group had to date supplied 480 units to DNA Star Vegas in Cambodia.

“Some 170 units are being shipped to DNA Star Vegas and will be ready for installation in June,” he said.
