KUALA LUMPUR: The Geely Boyue sports utility vehicle, the car that will form the basis of Proton's first SUV, will be on display to the public this Sunday.
The car that will be displayed will be a left hand drive Boyue 1.8 turbocharged model.
Shamsul Anuar, Sales manager Rahman Borthers automotive said the public viewing was to create awareness about the new model.
The car will still be wearing Geely logos instead of Proton insignia.
The Boyue is about the size of a Honda CRV. Sitting on a 2670mm wheelbase, it is 4519mm long, which makes it just 65mm short of the CRV, but quite a great deal shorter than Nissan’s X-Trail, which measures in at 4,640mm.
At 1831mm wide, it is narrower than the CRV which measures in at 1855mm, but wider than the X-Trail which measures 1820mm in width.
The Boyue has a longer wheelbase than the CR-V (2660mm), although the X-Trail’s 2705mm wheelbase is the longest among all three.
The 1.8 turbocharged gasoline direct injection engine, produces 181hp and 285 Nm of torque. Paired to a six-speed auto gearbox with drive channeled through all four wheels, the engine was one of the top 10 engines of the year for China in 2015.
The car will be displayed at Rahman Brothers Motors in Section 22, Shah Alam.
According to Rahman Brother's Facebook page, the viewing will be from 11am to 1pm only. |

2017 sales volume。。。perodua已经超越过 proton 2倍之上...12年前还被proton 压在下面。。Proton 长达12年被 1个不被看好的的perodua 压着。如今12年后,2018 年 是否是proton 报一箭之仇 ？
